for jan 13 question 2 b i understand how they got the rest energies of both the electrons but y did they x it by 1.6x10^-13 were usually from ev to j you times by 1.6x10^-19

Because they must have been converting from MeV to J?

This is because 0.510999 is not in eV. It is in MeV. So, you would get rid of M which x10^6 and then e which 1.6x10-19C. -19+6=-13. so it is 1.6x10^-13C to get into Joules. Clear now? :wink:

You do not have to remember this as you will be given in the exam. You should have 1 with you. Do you have 1?

M is Mega so ten to the power of 6.
-19 plus 6 is -13
