Not really. As they explained before, most of the revenue on this site comes from advertising. Only a tiny bit comes from subs.

But they want
more sub revenue - their current plans would
actually decrease it.
If they will have a tiered system, I will sub until I
leave.

I think they're hoping more people buy the longer (12month) sub.
But I don't think they care too much if people stop subbing, they know that most students won't pay 6.99 a month for it. That's extortion Perhaps their ultimate plan is too make it inaccessible to everyone? Just get rid of subs in general
