2506\frac{250}{6} how would I quickly make this a vulgar fraction? It would take me ages to work it out in my head in the C1 exam

Divide 250 by 2 then by 3

I go to a college, homework is optional

That's great (for some:bigsmile:).

Lol, I'm not sure you want to swap with justinawe . . . They work them hard in the orient

I would get A* for all my assignments and justinawe would get 0's LOOOL
I'd probably end up posting his whole assignment on here!

C4's pretty straight forward, though I'll discover how true that really is when I start Solomons this 0.5 term! The only Q I really struggled with was a vectors question that Justinawe ended up explaining as the teacher found it too difficult!

How about:
I=49ln(x1)x dxI = \displaystyle\int^9_4 \dfrac{\ln(x-1)}{\sqrt{x}} \ dx

yea but how would you 'spot' that?

I don't know. I just do. Just to clarify, spot what? That two is a factor?

but how do you get the 2/3 part?

aha true...they just say 'if you don't do h/w you will suffer' (and the h/w is usually useless)

but how do you get the 2/3 part?

It's the remainder.

You need to revisit long division

Getting exactly π\pi would be a good trick.
Why's that?

you I can long divide but you have to keep going for quite a bit to get.66666666667.

I don't think I've done any homework since I started year 12 :holmes:

I had a teacher last semester (who taught C1-C3) who gave homework, and then picked random people to do the h/w questions on the board the following class to try and catch out those who hadn't done it.

I just solved them on the spot, though
