Did you guyes get like 14. something for SD and then just x by 0.9 in the second part to get the 2nd SD and not take away 15 unlike the mean.

Yes I did :biggrin:

I got 5/12 first time round then for some reason i put 5/6 if i used the answer of 5/6 for the next part of the question would i still get the marks for it?

i did (5/12)^4 + 4(5/12)^3 x 7/12
Reply 253
why the 7/12? and why the 4 x 5/12^3
Reply 254
ok there was 23 data in total for the media and iqr question
I did 23 + 1 divdie by 2 which gave me the 12th value.
23x3/4 which gave me 17.25 rounding gives me the 18th turn
23/4 gives 5.75 rounding gives 6th turn. then just find the 18th number for q3 and 6th number for q1 to get iqr i did q3-q1
Reply 255
Ah I see where you're coming from, yeah I probably did that wrong tbh.
Reply 256
Prettty sure there was 25 numbers in the data set.
Reply 257
and for cumlative graph it was a total of 200

to get median 200/2 = 100 using the graph 100 = 3.5
q1 was 50
q3 was 150
iqr = 100

using grpah 100 =3.5
so u should of got the same median and iqr r the same

why the 7/12? and why the 4 x 5/12^3

This is hard to explain so bear with me. i calculated the probability of getting the combination of part 1 3 times and the 4th probability is not 2 women and man not getting the prizes. Then i think there are 4 ways of arranging it and added this to the proability of the prizes being awarded 4 times. I did this because i think it asked for the probability of more or equal to 3 and it said there were 4 events
