GCSE geography 2013

Hiii,

Is anyone doing the gcse edexcel geography course's decision making a.k.a dme on Uganda this year?

I'm studying geography as a private student and was wondering if anyone had any material to help prepare for this exam because apart from the pre release booklet (which we get in the exam too) there isn't anything to learn from cos the topic changes every year

Yep, and the revision booklet is all you really need. We got give a booklet with questions to fill out, but really just make sure you have a decent overview of the booklet, and know what tyoes of questions will be in the exam.

The booklet we're using is here - http://zigzageducation.co.uk/synopses/4517-geographical-decisions-prerelease-pack.asp , but it's designed for schools and is £54. It's not worth it for that price.

All you really need to know apart from what is in the booklet is the structure of the exam. I'll post the structure with a pic underneath this post for you :smile:

A, I've written answers in, and the booklet isnt all that useful. Posting one page is fair enough but putting them all up on TSR is completely illegal and breaks copyright laws.

Speak to your head of department and see if they'll pay for the licence.

Make sure you know roughly where stuff is in the booklet so it's easier to find in the exam.

The final decision question is likely to be what's the best option for Uganda or the best option for the town (I can't remember the name) so think about which you would choose for each of these questions so you don't spend time doing that in the exam.

Other than that there isn't a lot of revision that can be done as we get all of the information in the exam.
