What do boys think of tall girls? and what is 'too tall'

After just seeing the thread about small girls, thought it would be a good idea to make a thread about tall girls.

What height is considered 'too tall'? and what height is the maximum you would date?

I think the UK average is 5ft 4/5

Most guys I've spoken to about this would like a girl who's the same height or shorter than them, whilst she's wearing heels.

Me and a couple of others really don't mind though. I've dated a girl who in heels was 6 inches taller. Was kinda hot (for me).

My boyfriends 5ft 10 inch and im 5ft 11 inch. Im more bothered about the height difference that he is! Some guys don't seem to actually care or atleast don't show that they care. Yeah it may be more ideal to have a shorter girlfriend for some guys but the height shouldn't matter really!

I couldn't care less about the height of a girl as long as it lies between 1.60 and 1.90 - I think in relation to the question of this thread, 1.90 is pretty tall for a girl.

Don't know why some guys feel 'intimidated' by tall girls - is that some kind of inferiority complex? I'm not particularly tall (1.80) and I wouldn't care if a girl was a couple of inches taller than me.

I find taller girls much more attractive than girls of average height. Like if there were 2 equally good looking girls at a party, but one was taller than the other, I would be more inclined to talk to the taller one. I'd also find it strange to go out with a small girl as I'm quite tall (6ft 2) so it's just a personal preference I think.

My girlfriend is 6ft tall and although im tall were about same size barefoot, so as she is a girl who wears heels and boots this leaves her as slightly taller.
I see no problem with it, only guys with something to compensate for need to be taller than their other half.

I'm 6 foot 3/4/5 anything taller than me when in heels would be a put off, so my height with heals, a few inches smaller without.

I'm 5'11 and my boyfriend is 5'8, he loves my height. But I've come across a lot of guys that feel intimidated when I wear heels, and become over 6ft. I don't know why some guys are put off by a tall woman, is it because she isn't the stereotypical "small woman that needs a tough tall male to protect her"?

yes they feel unmanly or uncomfortable because they think people will have unflattering thoughts about it. many short guys have small man syndrome. but for me personally i dont think it look good visually when the girl is taller and so the short guys may also think that.

There's nothing wrong with it. You've just been socialised to believe that men are supposed to be taller and bigger than their girl. Cave man perspective in my book.

If a guy feels unmanly or uncomfortable about a tall woman, then he clearly has unresolved insecurity issues, and should look up the definition of being a man. Instead of acting like a bitch.

Also you have to remeber as a tall girl over 5ft10 i heard you limit the potential men to date by 70% if you only date taller men, that said why would I reject a honest, caring good looking amazing man just becuase he was a few inches shorter?
