I put. A piece of paper with no lipids on at all

Question 9, when it was asking about why the males show more courtship behavior towards longer snakes

more unsaturated fatty acids detected be male snake and it related it to a longer snake secreting those acids.

ill start:
Question 1
a) Centromer
b) centromere splits as spindles contract pulling chromatids to opposite poles, producing 2 identical cells.
c) different alleles
d) chromosomes not replicated into sister chromatids as figure 2 is prior to synthesis. ( I put only contains sister chromatids idk)
e) 3 chromosomes- 1 from each homologus pair( ie. one long,1 medium and one short)

Question 2
a)similar organisms capable of breeding to produce fertile offspring belong to the same gene pool
b) groups withing larger groups with no overlap
c) groups based on evolutionary relationships
d)cant remember

some one please quote me and continue...

on 1 there was crossing over of chromatids as the final part
what did you all get for the diversity index

Hmm....I'm kinda surprised at the response to the exam. My prediction of 6 marker was true!

Few questions

Why was diffusion higher when water from tracheoles in insects was removed? Higher SA:VR?

Species diversity was 6 something?

Tick boxes: quaternary structure was haemoglobin? Nitrogen present in starch and cellulose? Can't remember other box...

diffusion is more rapid in air than in water!

what question was that for :s-smilie: i didnt see anything indicating we had to ut anything about age and health :frown: :frown:
what was the number of N and n for the species diversity question in order to work it out?? I got 0.1 :frown: definitely have done something wrong...

2d was species diversity increasing question,

Greater number of habitats/ niches
Greater variety of food sources
Greater number of species, and number of individuals survive

Something like that...

I think he was on about the one below that one.

I put, put filter paper without the lipids.

Ah. Same.

diffusion through membrane faster when gas dissolved in water (thats why alveoli are moist)

Dammit, I said put male lipids on it
what did everyone get for the percentage increase and the Amish population?

I got 342% and 250,000
