A ‘flat’ car battery of internal resistance 0.06 Ω is to be charged using a battery charger having
an e.m.f. of 14 V and internal resistance of 0.74 Ω, as shown in Fig. 2.1.

You can see that the battery to be charged has its positive terminal connected to the positive
terminal of the battery charger.
At the beginning of the charging process, the e.m.f. of the ‘flat’ car battery is 7.6 V.
(i) For the circuit of Fig. 2.1, determine

Why do you take away the emf to find the total emf?

On the diagram its -14 + 7.6
Witch is in effect 14-7.6

Damn that was so hard.
And that wave question...
I got 75%. :s

I hated the speaker question with the receiver R :frown:
There was lots of 3/4 marks where I could only think of 2 points :/
The only thing I liked were the show that so and so equals this

yeah i got 3600 and 720 too.

What did everyone put for the receiver R thing when it's moved by 0.75 cm?

I remember saying that they have an odd number of wavelength (quarter of wavelength) and so destructive interference etc etc..

did everyone write that?
Reply 559
umm its Q= I xT

where your I is 120A and Q was worked out in the first part of the question, so you'll get your answers in seconds, so you divide your answer by 3600
