Just to clarify, we are allowed to write on the question paper to plan, aren't we?

this has probably been answered before but what's everyone's prediction for the exam???
I have only revised for Murder, Voluntary maslaughter, Intoxication, Duress, Insanity/Automatism, Theft, Robbery & Burglary and OAPA.
Do you think I will be able to get away with only knowing these topics or are there any topics which you think I should learn?

Hoping and praying for any of the following, with my favourites asterisked.

Section 1:

Omissions

Causation*

Attempts

Intoxication*

Section 2:

Property offences

Non-fatal offences/defences*

Involuntary manslaughter (preferably gross negligence*)

Section 3:

Anything

Final hurdle today guys, let's smash it!

I assume you mean basic and specific intent, basic intent is where D either intended the crime but also subjective recklessness is sufficient for the MR, i.e. GBH s20, criminal damage, etc.

Specific intent on the other hand is where only intention will suffice, recklessness will not, i.e. murder, GBH s18. However it is important to note that specific intent could also be oblique intent as per Woollin (i.e. consequence of death/serious injury was virtually certain).

causation

duress*

Intoxication*

Section 2:

Property offences

Non-fatal offences/defences*

anything wouldnt do it if i got the other two

Section 3:

Theft /robbery/burglary*

attempts*

consent

The only areas I don't know particularly well are voluntary manslaughter and duress.. what do you think the chances are of both those areas coming up in the legal reasoning? is that likely to happen??

If it does then I think I will be screwed for section 3 :/

Does anyone know what the question on property was specifically about in jan 13.. Did it include all three elements of theft, burglary and robbery?
