Appreciate it. I'm going on holiday on monday and having an expensive weekend so ideally if I can cut my losses I would be happy lol. Anything more would be wonderful

Good luck, and have a good weekend/holiday.

Hopefully I can help turnover some profit for you.

Cheers gents, your saviours lol.
Guys, forgive me for my naivety.

However, I've realised that I'm going to get a pittance from student loan, and basically have £3000 saved which was meant to be for gap yah travelling this summer :frown:. What is the most risk-averse way to gain a bit onto of this? ( I don't mind a little bit of risk though)

Premium bonds!

Joke.

If you seriously want to gain, then gambling is a good way. What sports do you like?

2 tips - learn to accept losing, and know when to stop. And only stake what you feel comfortable with. I spunked nearly £700 in one weekend because I didn't know what I was doing, and tried chasing losses.

Id be happy to help you though if you need it, as will everyone id assume.

Cheers mate.

Only sports I'd say I know much about is football and tennis.

I'm prepared to accept losing, I'm quite disciplined, but yeah go big or go home could ruin me!

Help me out!

What about a savings bond, are those any good? I was thinking of starting one soon.
I know quite a lot about tennis, but I don't bet on it. Is it just me or is 2.4 an excellent price for Djok v Nadal?

This implies he has only a 41.7% chance. That seems a little off to me, but the markets will be pretty efficient in these stages and I'm probably wrong.

Do you have betting accounts yet? If not, then you are in the fortunate position of being eligible for the various sign up bonuses.

This means you will be able to do matched betting, which is a risk free way of bumping your money up by another £600 or so.

I'd suggest that at any other event it would have value but Nadals record is just unbelievable at RG. Saying that if anyone is going to beat him it will be Djoka.

However to me the other matchup throws out more value. Tsonga really has his chance to attack the top 5 tomorrow. He took Federer apart and even as a clay specialist Ferrer doesn't remotely stand up to Fed so at 6/5 Tsonga would be my bet. Another Interesting bet would be under 3.5 sets @ 2/1. Like the Federer game I see one player stepping up their game and this game could easily be a 3-0er.
Trust me to turn 18 when the football season has just finished :frown: I created an account with Paddy Power the other day though. Who does everyone on here think gives the best odds out?

Cheers. I think I'll leave it, but from what I've seen so far I do think 2.4 is a good price.

Now isn't the time for me to start betting on another sport, but I like what you said about the Tsonga match. If it goes how you see it going, then 2.2 is a fantastic price for Tsonga.

It's annoying that I have to rate more members before rating you again, but that's why I haven't done so recently.

It depends, but of the 'mainstream' bookies I'd say Bet Victor. This could be wrong, but they tend to have a 2.5% over-round on Premiership matches, which is very low.

You should use a comparison service, though.

2.4 isn't a bad price. I think a bit closer to 3 would be more accurate, but I guess it's been backed in slightly.

This guy hits the nail on the head. If anyone is going to beat Rafa, it's Novak. It's going to be a truly fascinating match. I cannot wait.

Completely agree regarding Tsonga. There's huge value in him winning. I reckon I'm gonna take both the bets you've mentioned.

About 2.6 was the best available at any time, I think.

The French is easily my least favourite of the Slams, but I will enjoy this match.

I don't really enjoy clay court tennis. From a gambling perspective, there's the element the surface brings that can nullify a players serve. Obviously, different clay courts do this differently, and to greater or smaller extents. This just adds greater unpredictability to the situation. I much prefer hard, where a players true colours come out. But even then, different hard courts have different effects on the ball.

Saying that, this will be a corker of a match. I probably won't bet on it but I'm going to be completely engrossed in it.

This. SkyBet have a hideous amount of overround and their prices are generally terrible anyway. Avoid. They also have a terrible policy when it comes to retirements- beware.

Eurgh, i can't seem to go right at the minute. Opened up a betfred for the £10 free casino bonus and thought I might as well deposit £10 and bet to get the free £10 bet. Got on Germany U21s win/draw at 2-1 Holland because they we're over them with 35 mins left @6/4. germany make it 2-2 then in the 89th minute Holland go 3-2 up -_-
