Galen said blood was produced in the liver and moved in a tide between the liver and heart and he said that blood moved through invisible holes in the septum.

Harvey said that the heart pumped the blood away from the heart through the arteries and blood travelled into the heart through veins which have valves to prevent back flow.

What are the saprophytes role in decay? and how do they play their role?

Saprophytes decompose dead materials release nutrients needed for plants to grow. They play their role by releasing enzymes to break food outside and when the food is digested they reabsorb the simple soluble molucle...:smile:

this is true put I asked about decay not plant growth :P by breaking down detritus the saprophytes increase the surface area of the plant material making it easier for micro-organisms to feed on the particles, speeding up decay :smile:

First a sample of DNA is extracted from human body tissue
Then it is fragmented using restriction enzymes
Then is is separated using electrophoresis
Then the DNA finger print is visualised using a radioactive probe.

There is shortage of housing, the medical use will be higher so will cause taxpayers to pay more and people will live to old so therefore more pensions will be given out which is a bad thing for the government.

On a personal level, it can give you a longer retirement but can also increase the chances of receiving an age-related disease. From a national level, it can provide extra burden/pressure on medical supplies.
