Because I'm a subscriber, I can see who gives me thumbs up/thumbs downs. I was just curious as to why you didn't like my question I was asking Mocking Bird. :s-smilie:

Why on earth do they refer to the 25 mark questions as a synoptic essay?

In other words, you're trying to say that they could ask us a question on 'The role on pigments', just because it's from A-Level Biology and 'big enough to write about in 40 minutes'?

Quoted from the specification.

Unit 5 : Examination paper (100 raw marks / 140 UMS) 8 10 short answer questions plus 2
longer questions (a data-handling question and a synoptic essay - choice of 1 out of 2)
2 hours 15 minutes

Look, I'm not your 'mate'.

Secondly, it's a synoptic essay.

In any case, what did your teacher write in your notes?

I quoted in my previous response from the specification, which is always correct.

why cant we just be fwends?
i just wrote what was written - he's explained that to us too, pretty self explanatory
june 2011 was 'using DNA in science and tech' ... the bulk of that is in bio5 - not particularly synoptic?
