when was the last time ATP came up for an essay?

I think someone before said 2009 and it was an old specification exam

edit: that was for ions, sorry.
I recently learned I do not like question 5 in June 2011 paper...

Haha I might just ignore whatever bio question that comes up and just write about the role of women in Jacobean threatre instead. That'll mess with their heads

Lol deserves them right, messing with ours...
Wish I could just interpret the biology essay to write what I wanted haha

ive just done importance of water in biological processes and inorganic ions, and i dont think inorganic ions has came up in the past 3 years, going to do ATP now, and maybe energy transfers

think im going to do 2 more and thats it, gotta go over bio5 stuff too!

Is it just me or is June 2011 horrible?

It's actually dreadful, the only good thing about it is that the grade boundaries are a bit lower than last year, hoping they don't go up again this year. Good luck tomorrow

As a topic on its own I believe it last came up in 2002. But obviously since then there have been essays on energy, condensation/hydrolysis, carbohydrates which it could have been used in.

The specification only states that we need to be aware of totipotent and multipotent
chemical mediators have their target cells in close vicinity and reach them by diffusion, hormonal control may reach all parts of the body through the blood circulatory system but only stimulates a repsonse from target cells.

lh and fsh are proteins? digested by protease? whereas oestrogen and progesterone are lipd soluble steriods? me no know...

sirna is double stranded, does not act as a template for protien syntheiss
optimal temperture for dna polmyerase to attach nucleotides to form sugar phosphate backbone

adrenaline from adrenalglands to receptors on the cell surface membrane of target cells, activates enzymes that convert atp to cylic amp, camp acts as a second messenger activaiton enzymes that convert glycogen to glucose by glycogenolyiss

there are 3 types of cone cells that detect and are sensitive to different wavelengths of light?

I did this question earlier, I just assumed it meant in comparison to the other treatment where the root-tip had not been cut off.

But it's asking about A ( the one that the root-tip had not been cut off) !! this is so confusing ... :frown:
