Is anyone else screwed for this exam tomorrow?

hahahahahaha yes.
These boundaries are gonna be incredibly low... I'd say 50 an A* is very likely

I mean even us here were struggling with P6

I just looked like an idiot for a minute with my head turned  but yeah that was useful, thanks

Does anyone wanna have a Q/A on P6? I'll start a tinychat or whatever in ~10 minutes if people want to

I agree, but I have a terrible suspicion that the exam boards are going to raise grade boundaries to reduce the proportion of As and A*s

In a transistor, when there's a base current, does that send a current through both the emitter and the collector or does it just allow the current to flow from the collector to the emitter (one direction only)?

Don't worry about that - they alter the grade boundaries so (approximately) the same percentage of people get A*s, the same percentage of people get As etc.

It allows the current to flow through the C and the E, but I have a feeling the current from the B also flows out the E, because the current at the E = the current at the C + the current at the B.

I think we're the victims of GCSE over-simplification again because they don't tell us what happens to the current at the B. :frown:
