You'd probably get the 1 mark for AD.

Does doing d^2y/dx^2 on 9ii rather than considering dy/dx on either side lose you a mark? Or would they allow it..
Reckon I got 60 raw marks, any ideas how much ums this will be roughly?

It was marked out of 72... meaning an A* mark would have been 65... So I am really not feeling optimistic about this at all. I'm from Winchester College, and majority of the subjects have already changed to Pre-U instead of A-levels. And because of the introduction of the supposedly ''MUCH'' harder pre-u exam, a levels have felt the need to tighten up, hence the unexpected jump in BOTH difficulty and grade boundaries for last year's C4. I expect them to keep it similar, so that would mean like a 64 for A* and a 57/58 for an A.......

I'm just being realistic here guys

june 2012 was a considerably easier paper. Sorry :')

Exactly, the only hard question on that paper was integrating lnx and the rast of them were gift marks

I did the same, d^2y/dx^2 just considers the gradient on either side right?

june 2012 was 57 for an A :P But I reckon an A will be about 52.

Kind of, it just determines directly whether it is a max or min.

It tells you the rate of the rate of change of the gradient, so whether or not the gradient is increasing or decreasing.

You clearly have no idea about how grade boundaries are calculated.
