You will want the second one, with an N on the end of Monaten, because it's a dative plural (after seit, everything is dative) and you always put an N at the end of that word (except if it ends in S). :smile:

Waarom heb je uitgekozen het Nederlands te leren? :smile:

the 'que' means that or who. We don't always write it in English but in French you always do. It comes before the subject, in the same way qui comes after the subject and means the same thing. I hope this makes a bit more sense as to why there's a que, I'm sorry if it my explanation makes no sense!

There is no rule for that, that's just the way it is :smile:

One more random thing you just have to learn by heart.

But you can avoid it if you want : Heureusement, tu as fait un coq au vin.

(Le coq au vin est d'ailleurs un plat que j'adore ... le meilleur, c'est le coq au Riesling de mon papa :biggrin:

I understand why it's 'vuestro' and 'por', but why should it be deis? 'Dar' is an AR verb, so surely it should stay dais? :/

After esperar que, the subjunctive has to be used, so it should be deis.

P.S. I see that you've just finished your GCSEs, if you have no idea what the subjunctive is, don't worry. You'll learn it in A-Level. :smile:

Hehehe that's sooo English ;p ik hoop dat ik je niet zal verwarren!

In Dutch and German you would put the verb before he pronoun in those type of uhmm clauses :tongue:

So you could say: "Hopelijk als ik met je praat, zal ik meer leren" But I would say: "Ik hoop dat ik meer Nederlands zal leren, door vaak met jou te praten"
"Ich hoffe, dass ich mehr Niederländisch lernen werde, durch oft mit dir zu sprechen"
