Sono italiana, puoi parlare italiano con me  ora vivo in Francia quindi non ho tante occasioni di parlare italiano e mi manca un sacco..

Just found this thread

I would love to learn...

Scottish Gaelic
Russian
French
Arabic

I used to be fluent in French and Arabic as a young child but I forgot almost all of it :frown: If someone speaks fluent French to me I can understand but I can't form replies myself.

Scottish Gaelic is such a dying language, does anyone here speak it?

"I am Italian, so you can speak Italian with me  and(?) I live in France where there isn't the chance to speak Italian and my ...?" I did that all without looking anything up! Was I right?

The first part is right, then I said " I live in France now so I don't have that many occasions to speak Italian and I miss it a lot. "

True  but the second sentence is actually " Vous avez ouvert le magasin aujourd'hui, madame! ".

Gahhh! -.- I put it there originally, but then I slotted it after 'avez' because I thought it was an adverb, and I know that if it were 'bien' or 'maintenant' I would stick it where I ended up sticking 'aujourd'hui'. -.-

Quand-même, merci!! ^^

Ah, grazie  like I said, I've been doing Italian for approximately a week  And I see "ora" now - Spanish for "now" is "ahora"! And "manquer" is French for "to miss" and it looks like "manca"!

Haha this is frustrating as I know exactly what you're saying and I'm trying to conjure up foggy, old French from my brain. Also my autocorrect puts in accents for some reason...

Oui, mais non full time....Je suis allé dans le Army reserve. Je n'ai pass OASC pour navigator mais non pilot...parce que my eyesight.

Etes vous...applying....pour les forces?

Apparently they aren't similar due to grammar differences but I *think* one can sometimes basically understand the other.

I found this on wikipedia, same phrase in each....

Scottish Gaelic Chan eil airgead agam.
Ulster Gaelic Chan fhuil/Cha bhfuil airgead agam.
Manx - Cha nel argid aym.
Standard Irish Níl airgead agam.

What do you think?
