Hi, I am at university and am newly an independent escort. Does anyone know of accountants that deal with escorts?

As long as your business is legal, then any accountant will handle it. They won't care where your money's coming from as long as you're not breaking the law.

If your business is legitimate, yes you will have to pay tax. If it's not, it's illegal and you might as well break more laws by not paying tax.

This is not a joke, but look up the English Collective of Prostitutes, if they are still around - they are like an union for prostitutes and may have some info.

I do not mean to suggest that you are a prostitute - but 'escorting' might be an area the ECP covers.

I imagine you do have to pay tax as long as you earn enough to go over the tax threshold.

What is escorting, if not renting out your body/vagina- this is exactly what a prostitute is.

The term "escort" can be used either directly (i.e. being a platonic male companion who accompanies someone to social or personal events for pay) or in the euphemistic sense (i.e. provides a sex service for pay). The first is legal, the second not so much.

Being an escort won't automatically mean that the person will supply physical services, although I think most people will assume this.

If you earn money legally, then you must declare it to HMRC and pay tax when you reach a certain threshold. If you earn money illegally, you probably won't want to declare it any more than a bank robber would.

A stripper and an escort are two different words so separate them please. Strippers are dancers which means there can be no touching and an escort is a prostitute which means there is sexual activity. Define them before you place them anywhere because your giving strippers a label as a prostitute and that is not what they are - It's all a show on the outside nothing goes inside.

Given that this thread is four and half years old, it’s a fair bet that the OP has graduated and doesn’t care.

It’s a fair bet that the OP was never a stripper nor an escort anyways as this is TSR and someone has to do the daily escort thread.
