Yeah but... Five of them? I expect they all have no rep power, so I probably balanced it out.

It's not a teaching course? Out of curiosity why did you choose an education degree if not to teach or coordinate the teaching of a subject?

For the same reason anyone takes a degree in an academic subject - why do people do maths, physics, history if they don't intend to go into work directly related to that field?
Original post by Buongiorno
Spanish and German actually haha  what are you hoping to do? Sorry if you've said it already!

Hoping to do where? If you mean university, I'm still in year eleven, but hoping to do Chemistry I think!

Why is your username Italian then?:colone: no hablo español muy bien, pero estoy lo aprendiendo! (don't speak Spanish very well. But learning it)
Question: how do you know how many UCAS points you need to meet your offer? My offer letter only said "AAA (including A in Mathematics)"?

That's a very good point. Sorry, I let the (purely due to my lack of knowledge of the course) slightly vocational sounding course name confuse me slightly.

That said, since we're supposed to choose what interests us the most to study at university, it's always confused me when people say they don't want a job in that field afterwards. I mean if it's the most interesting subject for you, why would you not want to work with it for life?

(Not a question aimed at you personally, I'm just rambling and musing.)
I am soo sooo worried about my ICT A level think I did the worst on it.... Did anyone else did OCR iCT.. If yes let me Jo how it went 😭😭

UCAS points aren't really used at the higher ranked unis. Your offer is equivalent to 360 UCAS Points.

You don't need a set number of UCAS points for that offer, you need.........

AAA, including A in Mathematics.

Thanks. Grade boundaries are released on Wednesday i believe (for AQA). Hoping the examiners were in a good mood when marking the papers!

Oh right, planning ahead aren't we. That's great, I was like that as well.

I like all things languages-related, so although I'm specialising in Spanish and German, I'm always looking to expand on my knowledge of other languages and really enjoy Italian! Que idiomas aprendes en el colegio? Vas a hacer un A level en algun idioma?

Well, sometimes I guess a job is not linked to a specific field - you might really want to be an accountant (for whatever reason), but you don't need a specific degree for that.

Also, I know you said you weren't just talking about me, but what I meant to get across was that I don't know what I want to do. I haven't ruled out jobs in the education sector, I'm just not set on them.

Thanks  Erm all my offers were the same (AAA) and so are the possible unis I'm looking at as potential clearing unis so how am I supposed to know which one of the unis has lower requirements?

I'm in my AS year. Say if I don't get at least aaa, will I be able to apply to unis that are at least AAA?

Hey you can apply to unis that are A*A*A*. Only you won't get any offers. Sorry just had to say that.

Actually you can. Your application will be considered on predicted grades. If your school predicts you AAA then you should / could get offers. It goes on the basis that your AS level B could be borderline or your school feels you are improving. To state the obvious you may not get in to these Unis if you don't achieve these grades.

That would be 120 points for an A, right? What about an A*? And thanks.

Yeah, I'll probably change my mind, though I'm planning on doing French with Chemistry.

Aah, German I find so hard! I'm definitely doing French A Level, and I want to self study Spanish, I don't have a GCSE in it though

Yes, an A* is 140 Points. They're irrelevant tbh

A language is always a great addition to any degree!

To be honest, A level courses go back right to the beginning and you revise all of the GCSE at AS anyway... if they could you let you into a Spanish A level course and you were to put in a lot of hard work, I think you would be fine since they cover all the grammar points again.

:awesome:

I already filled my other options though :colondollar: unless I replace Geography. Then I'd have Physics, Chemistry, French and Spanish (and maths and f.maths)

Grammar wise I'll be in better form than GCSE, but I won't know much vocab or have speaking practise ..
4days still feels long, how is this possible!!
OK I have a question about AQA geography. I have just done the AS exam and an A is 63% which to me is really low. Is this the same for the A2 or is it much higher?
