I was actually informing him of my grades. Probably should've done it on the A-Level thread.

I'm not :colondollar:

Thanks guys. It means a lot, apart from a couple of douches asking how on earth I didn't get the A*, everyone's been great:smile:

Those douches are probably jealous they didn't get results as good as yours even though their 3 years older

And awww. Don't be embarassed-up until now I didn't realise you were in year 10. I've seen you around the forums that are too hard for me to understand and thought you were doing something along the lines of a degree.

Feel free to help me out when I start my Maths A-Level in September

Turned up to the exams and got most of the answers right.

What is everyone doing courses wise for A-Level?
I'm doing:
Biology,
French,
Geography,
PE

Bit of an odd combination, but I want to work in the Police Force or in Veterinary so trying to keep my options open. I think I'm going to regret applying for French? It's one of my strongest subjects, but then I don't excel in any of them either so...

You'll only regret applying for French if you don't enjoy French  I'm going to google it, but don't you need Chemistry for degrees like Veterinary Science?

I'm taking:
Chemistry
Philosophy and Ethics
Spanish
Biology or French

I'm not sure what I want to do, so doing what I enjoy and seeing what it brings me

I think there are 9 at the minute ? and the next one is being written  OMG yes please do ..be sure to tell me once you've finished the first episode :colone:

ahh that's good  what you hoping to apply for ? Medicine?

and i'm feeling fairly confident at the moment  that'll change in due time though :s-smilie:

Hahaha, I will!

And nope, I'm not looking at Medicine, although I did consider it. I really want to do Dentistry  When I tell people this, they always give me a weird look  :frown:

I'm guessing you are a hopeful medic though  Good Luck by the way

Sorry, I'll actually answer the question

Basically, revision is the least effective method of learning. If you want an A*, it's considerably easier if you pay attention and engage in the lessons (ask questions when you don't understand something!), rather than having to cram for hours every day during the revision period. Make sure each day that you understand the content taught in every lesson - learn it properly first and revision is 10x easier.

Also, make sure you learn how to do well in the exam, not just the content. Make sure you know where the marks are obtained and don't waste any time writing something that won't get you marks.

Thanks! And yeah, I know, but some people just can't comprehend why a person would want to work with teeth I guess

Well done. Your achievement is even more impressive when considering your age. How long did it take you to complete each module? I'm starting now and I estimate that it will take me around 30 hours per module. Is that vastly off? I know that the time varies from person to person, but a rough estimate would be beneficial.

Thanks in advance.

:erm: no idea...

30 hours sounds fine I guess

I was thinking wtf you're a Year 10 when people said 3 years early. That would be incredible to get those grades in Year 10, still is in Year 11 actually.

Haha, I know right! I hope I enjoy it though. I read a thread recently about this guy who went to Uni thinking he was in love with Dentistry but it turned out to be pretty awful:frown:

Are you planning to specialise in a particular field?

I reckon, when the GCSE results are ready (they surely can't still be mucking about with them now...), the exam boards should send out a survey. If the majority of GCSE-ers want their results NOW (as opposed to never), results day gets moved forward (preferably by at least a month ^_^). That would be excellent.
