Chemical engineering without Physics

Hi, so I've just got my AS Results with an A in Maths, A in Chemistry, B in Biology and a C in Geography. I'm seriously considering applying for Chemical engineering next year, and would like to know if I will struggle to do Chemical engineering without doing Physics A-level. In maths I have done M1 and am doing M2 at A2, and was wondering if this would help. If someone could reply to this that would be great, cheers. :smile:

Lacking an A-level in physics won't give way for massive struggles, but I would suggest you take an AS in physics, just to ensure that the options of universities you can apply for are greater. This is because some universities require you have at least an AS in physics if not offered at A-level.

Hi, so the Uni's I'm looking at don't require an AS in physics ; simply maths, chemistry and another science(biology). I was leaning more towards the question of whether I will be able to cope with the content which may be physics related, will my modules in Mechanics suffice?

Yeah. There are people on my course who haven't touched physics since GCSEs and they're doing fine.

Ok, so is the physics more Mechanics based or what? Where are you studying it by the way? Thanks for replying by the way
