Surely I can't be the only non-drinker going to uni this year? Not putting down those that do, of course, live and let live and all that, but just to make me feel a little more secure, I thought we teetotallers/occasional drinkers could do with our little corner of the forum for Freshers this year.

Please keep me company, I have orange juice. :tongue: :biggrin:

ahh so glad i found this thread. I dont drink mainly because i dont enjoy it, and i like to be healthy. Im going to exeter uni in september, still a bit nervous i wont make as many friends because of my non drinking though :/

I've heard that a lot of people get drunk during Freshers, and I wonder how I'll fit in! :eek:

I was told yesterday, and i applied for it on results day. The emails that housing send sometimes get put into the "junk" folder in your inbox. Maybe it's there?

Looking at the events lined up for Freshers week is getting me a tad nervous! The majority of them are club nights which isn't really my thing :erm:

Same, and I'm going to Brighton of all places! Sure, the nightlife is amazing but I don't do clubbing! :tongue: I really, really hope someone in my flat will be like me and prefer a quiet night in or find a little bar or pub for a chit-chat, not a sweaty, noisy rave! :tongue:

I'm scared I'm going to be seen as unsocial, especially if I'm like, 'I'll think I'll pass on this one' every night of fresher's week!

Occasional drinker here, not the freshers kind of person... drinking and getting completely smashed every night, no thanks!
