Is it silly to apply to just one university? It's the only place that does my course, and I can't see myself as happy on a course similar somewhere else. I'm just worried because if I don't get the offer, that's it. I wouldn't mind taking gap year as I've considered it many times 
I would think hard about your choices, are you sure you want to go liverpool? do you need more time to think? are you sure you'll enjoy your degree? and many more questions you need to ask yourself, would you want to take the risk? etc.
If unsure about any of these then I'd gap it
I would honestly never apply to 1 university but that's me. Also no offence intended of course but I've never heard of that degree, do you think employment prospects will look strong after graduating with 2:1 or a first in that, no point rushing decisions and losing £27k.
I would personally take a gap year if I was in your position but that is only because I want to aim for the top 10, if your happy at Liverpool then go ahead I say.

Of course not. If its the only place that offers your course, then by all means go for it, although, I would say (you can totally disagree with me) you may as well apply to similar courses in other places, ans maybe organise a visit there to see what its like, because you may actually change your mind during the whole application process. You could always decline any offers you don't want to go ahead with.

I understand what you mean, its probably a good idea as well, and if you decide to go for a PHD, then you can actually specialise to your interests which may totally change throughout uni. I'm applying for medicine and chemistry for my fifth option

?That sounds awful. xD Coming from someone who really enjoys maths. I just couldn't do that much! That's really impressive though, best of luck to you!
I still think doing AS FM would benefit me greatly, but I don't trust my abilities to do that many exams in summer. I think I'd mess something up. If we had Jan exams, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Oh, I see. Weirdly, I'm the opposite. I always seem to do reasonably well in subjects I hate and/or don't need to do well in. Such as my surprise A in English Lit at GCSE. :P
Nah, OCR. It was a tough paper, though... actually, tough's not the right word. It was a weird paper. You know how all stats papers kind of follow the same pattern? It was as if they'd chosen this summer to just throw in a ton of weird, unexpected questions.
That threw off a lot of my year.

I'm definitely sure I want to go there, I've always planned to apply there whether it be when I wanted to do vet med/biology/history etc
And I've changed my mind about my degree many times which is worrying, yes, but I've only just come across this one and the modules suit my interests so well! And I plan to do a masters in Paleoanthropology afterwards. I'd love to be a Primatologist, Archaeologist (long shot but people get those jobs so why can't I try?), heck even a teacher or lecturer. I know I've rushed into this but I genuinely think I'd be happy It is risky, but I think I have a good chance as long as I have a good personal statement etc, and they don't care too much about my stupid dropped AS grade haha
As for the degree itself, I know it's a bit unusual and unheard of, but it's only a specialised variation on Anthropology so it's not as unheard of as you may think.I'm not too bothered about top ten, I'm probably not clever enough, and I've limited my choices on what I can do as I want a degree with a biological or historical element, and this seems right

I was thinking of applying to a similar course at Durham and Kent, I'm just not convinced I'd get an offer from somewhere like Durham with such a poor grade in my chemistry AS level. I suppose it's worth a shot though Thank you for the advice! Posted from TSR Mobile
