The 16th is the general start date for all the UWS courses I think! That's the date that is on all the letters, but the welcome pack tells you the individual start dates for each course! The induction timetables are on the website so I would just stick to that!

The 16th/17th of September is usually just the induction day. You don't actually start any of your classes until at least a week later.

Is there a uni group for paisley freshers to find people in our courses / flats? I've only seen the freshers page that you can "like"!

I want to know this too! haha

Hey what was the acceptance letter, is it the same as the confirmation letter? I got an unconditional offer and put it as my firm but I haven't heard anything from UWS apart from my confirmation letter

Yeah i got a letter explaining my offer is unconditional and my starting date is this and welcome to UWS etc.

I think this is how you enroll online, and I definitely remember something in the site saying you need to enroll beforehand

I think enrolling is mainly so you can pick up your student card on your first day instead of doing it on the first day and waiting.

Hey I'm doing that course too and our induction is definitely the 17th
The detailed timetable for our first day is up on the UWS website
http://www.uws.ac.uk/current-students/induction-and-enrolment/induction-timetables/
the timetable list for all modules for trimester 1 and 2 were just posted on the website.
You have to go to here : http://psmd.uws.ac.uk/UGProgrammes/UGProgrammeSpecsBySchool.aspx and find your course and check which modules you will be doing, and then go here : http://student-timetable.uws.ac.uk/ and find those modules and what times they are on at!

Hope this helps
This page also explains all the enrolling stuff and when to do it http://www.uws.ac.uk/current-students/induction-and-enrolment/enrolment/when-can-i-enrol/

What timetable do we refer to? As there is several versions for each course. (I.e course1, course1A, course 1B, course 1C and course 1D) Looks really confusing!

By looking at the timetable, a lot of Criminal Justice lectures and workshops will be joined with Social Science too. So hello to anyone doing Social Science!

Finally found someone doing the same course! haha.
And I know I've had a gap year and it will take me a while to get back into the swing of things I think, but I'm excited for the practical work and placements more than anything
- Thankyou! Fingers crossed I get to know my way around the area a little before the course starts!
