50, How do you feel?

I feel okay. I have been on it since April though, after I was on Prozac for a year with no success. However, I found the side effects to sertraline a lot worse than Prozac. For the first two or so weeks, I felt so tired, so that i felt detached and disassociated and just plan ill. It took me a while to get used to it, but I found it has had a positive effect on me! it just is frustrating that it makes you feel so bad for a few weeks. May I ask how long you have been on it for? Xxxxxx

Yeah I get that  I sometimes put it on my face for a bit if my skin is particularly bad, and you can just bad it on and leave it for as long as possible, and then maybe get some paper tissue or something and gently wipe it off. It really is very good as it's an antiseptic too. That's true - is there any way you can cancel if you're not feeling up to it? You must put your health first :yep:

I don't know really. A combination of things - general rubbishness, Mum giving me a hard time, uni related anxiety. Feeling lower by the minute tonight though. I just hope I can sleep. How are you hun? Hope you're still on a high after your lovely night (and just for the record, THIS is an achievement that you can't deny. It must have taken great courage and you did a brilliant job in going :yep: )

Yeah! For definite. We shall make this work :beard:
Thanks hun, had an okay day in comparison to most but tonight things just feel very weird. :sadnod: Oh no! I really hope you manage to sleep, maybe because you've had such a good evening, you can feel more relaxed which will help too! I'm getting some sleep but not a lot (around 4-5 hours)
Great news! :woo: Ooh, anything exciting planned for tomorrow?! Exactly it will take time to get back into the swing of things but it was a massive achievement to turn up considering how hard things have been. I hope you can take strength from this and realise how great you are at fighting through :hugs:

None of this is true hun :nah: Stay safe and as calm as possible. :jumphug:
sigh, I actually think my dyspraxia is getting worse with age, can't even type today, taking me like 10 minutes to write this even, my hands just aren't in the mood to do what I tell them to today at all :frown:
does anyone have any methods / tips of motivating themselves?

struggling quite badly with my system of doing 1 small thing a day, was hoping to build up to 2, then 3 etc but im failing at 1 lol...

So glad you're getting some sleep. :hugs:
Doubt I'll sleep tonight- just spent the last half hour crying on the floor. :frown: Currently melting on a poor friend. :s-smilie:
Nothing planned for during the day but I have an interview in the evening for volunteering as a first aider with the red cross! Super nervous about it, I'm terrible at interviews. :erm:
What about you, have you any plans? :hugs:

Just get a reward system going, get one thing done and reward yourself with some TV/Food/whatever you like and withold it until you do. Or let a friend/family member know and get them to nag you. Normally I guilt myself so much for not doing things I can eventually get them done  Once you get in the habit it's much easier, the feeling of satisfaction when you do your chores or homework soon becomes reward enough.

And I say that as someone who used to have tro try and force themselves to do 2-4 hours of homework a week day.
