Core 1: 100
Core 2: 92
Core 3: 95
Core 4: ...74 :frown:(
S1: 78
D1: 30
M1/S2: 61

Was 11 marks from an A* man... Core 4 the anomaly

I hardly think you can call it an anomaly when it's as close to the mean mark of your other 7 modules as you could possibly get.

I'm only looking at core modules, admittedly, I didn't try as much as I could have in my applied ones as evident, if I got 85+ in Core 4 it would've been an A* though, oh well. I did terribly at AS across the board so prioritised the core modules in Maths and hoped for the best with the applied ones.

If we're going to take all of these into account, then D1 would be my anomaly which without I'd be averaging an A. My mark in D1 was embarrassing though.

Maths - A* (565/600)

C1 - 97
C2 - 90
C3 - 98
C4 - 93
S1 - 87
S2 - 100

Doing Maths at Warwick. STEP was many times harder, and a lot more enjoyable. You don't need straight 100s to get into top unis; a level maths modules are really just a test of how careful you are/how prone you are to silly mistakes.
C1 - 91
C2 - 100
C3 - 97
C4 - 100
D1 - 100
M1 - 95
S1 - 90

Doing FM this year.
Can anyone tell me how hard they consider AQA FP4 relative to C4, for example, as I'm tempted and think it'd really help in first year uni maths.

Ums boundaries please? Thanks.

FP4 is almost exclusively matrices and vectors so if you enjoy those topics and want to go relatively in depth with them then it's a very enjoyable module. In recent years there have been some tougher papers (not the one I sat ). Conceptually it is tougher than C4 but C4 is more diverse so could be seen as more awkward to perfect. I suggest you do it, it's not too taxing.

For which exam sitting?

Sorry I meant overall. I worked it out anyway; a* is always 90% so that equates to 540/600 (average of 90/100 ums per exam)

Thanks anyway.

For Maths you get an A* by having an overall A grade (so 480/600 UMS) as well as having a 90% average over C3 and C4

An A* in Maths is an A across all modules (480/600) and an average of 90 across C3 and C4.

It's also worth mentioning that 90% of 600 is 540, not 510.
C1 - 97
c2 - 100
c3 - 98
c4 - 100
m1 - 93
s1 - 100

C1 96
C2 98
(goes massively down hill from here)
C3 88
C4 77 (made HORRIBLE mistakes in first two questions :L)
M1 73
M2 60 (horrible paper)

My results were roughly like that, overall I achieved an A.

I'll be doing Civil Engineering at Bath (hopefully my mechanics improve...)

Oh dear. How on earth did you work out that 510/600 is 90%?

Sorry I working out the average per exam (including 90+ in C3 and C4) and that came to 85% of 600 not 90%. Don't fully quite understand what exactly I was trying to do...of course 90% is 540 :colondollar:

You need 90% in Core 3 and Core 4, so you were 16 marks off in Core 4

You need an average of 90 in C3+C4

It's a heavily skewed sample - people who do well are much more likely to tell other people via the internet...

this.

i don't want to tell people my GCSE ums...(still got an A*)
