The accommodation office run a waiting list that begins in November (usually), you'll need to put your name on that list when it comes out. Once you get to the top of the list and a room becomes available, you'll be able to move to that room. It can take a little while sometimes, depending on how many people also want to move room, and how many people move out of their rooms.

The office don't start the list until around November time. They'll email you with the details nearer that date.
