does this sentence make sense

"She will be participating in a carol concert"

or does it make more sense if it is written as 'She will be participating in a carol singing concert"

it makes sense either way... people know what a carol concert is without you stating the obvious fact that it is a "carol singing" concert. But then again... some peeps are just... so maybe to be extra specific you can add that in. Either way it should be fine.
