Best books to buy for A* in Maths

I have a maths exam in November and need to buy books asap. I am going for an A* so if anyone could link me to any good books that will help me achieve this. Thanks

The best book will depend on your examination board. However, you should definitely use this website to help you: http://www.examsolutions.net/

If you are doing Edexcel, then I would get this Edexcel GCSE Higher Revision Guide and Workbook. They are what I am working from and like you, I am hoping for an A* this November

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Letts-GCSE-Week-Revision-Guides/dp/1844196259/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381588429&sr=8-1&keywords=maths+to+a+letts+gcse+in+a+week+revision+guides

I use that for last minute (or should I say final week) revision for Maths mocks. The mock I did last week (mocks that go toward Sixth Form applications at my school) went great and I got an A*, I was the only one in my class

Whilst it does give you most of the content you need for exams it wont give you everything (naturally you can't fit a 2 year course into a week) so it's best to use it in conjunction with past papers and an exam board-specific revision guide (best to get one soon and use it for 2-3 weeks before switching to the Maths to A* book). Good luck!

Er, no!

November and June exams will be staying - it's a school's choice if they decide not to put candidates in for those exams
