Your body needs fuel so you need to eat, you'll feel worse if you don't. Also I don't buy that it'll be your fault if something happens. Would it be a government's fault if terrorists said they'd hurt someone if their demands are not met? No. We don't do deals with terrorists - and for good reason, giving in to demands would lead to more. You can eat, trust me nothing will happen.

They made me have some pasta. It will be my fault because they warned me and I didn't listen. :cry2: It's selfish of me to do it if they're going to get hurt. :frown: So scared. And mum's angry with me for listening to them. :frown: But if I dont listen to them then bad things will happen.

No problem, better a mini-essay than discussing with too much presumption. Anyway, I think your working attitude pretty amazing and it would be a shame to just go to university without any aim. (I mean, there is nothing against fun (although university doesn't equals fun), but your way sounds more promising, because as you said, times are hard in general.) You sound really thoughtful and committed.

Thanks, that's nice to hear that . Sometimes I worry whether I'm doing the right thing or not, but I guess what I've done so far isn't too bad, I just need a bit more luck on my side in terms of actually gaining decent work :yep:

It wouldn't be your fault, don't negotiate with them. I know when I give in and do what the voices say the next thing they order me to do will be even worse. They are exactly like terrorists, give in and they'll demand more and more. But they have zero power beyond telling you what to do.

Have they said when the bad thing will happen? I bet they wouldn't give an exact time/date, they'll just pass off anything bad that happens as them doing it, when we both know bad things do sometimes just happen and are out of our control. That doesn't mean the voices did it.

No, they havent said specifically when. But they've been right in the past about things. :frown: Im just so scared because I didn't listen to them.

:hugs: I know how scary it can be when they threaten you like that but you need to try and remember that they have no real power.

What have they been right about in the past?

They were right about someone I love dying and someone I loves operation going wrong. They've been right about smaller things too though, like people being late or people getting hurt. :frown:

They sound like things that fall under "bad **** happens sometimes" that doesn't make it your fault. I bet before the operation you were worried about it going wrong right? The voices pick up on your fears and use them to control you. The operation would have gone wrong regardless of you doing or not doing what the voices told you.

I think also what you're not focusing on is all the times they've told you they'll do something and then nothing happens. But you're selectively thinking about stuff - there's something called confirmation bias which it sounds like you're practicing with regards to the voices. The other day you were scared to eat too because of fears about the voices acting against you, did anything happen then? What about all the other times, like (if I recall correctly) when you were worried about someone breaking in - did they?

No, but sometimes they're right and it's not something I want to risk. :frown:
Do you think it's all just coincidence? :s-smilie:
my dads completely ignoring me :cry2: i knew this would happen, there really is no point in me even pretending to be his daughter anymore :bawling:

i clearly doesnt want me to be his kid as he wants nothing to do with me. :cry2:

If I tell you right now that if you don't get off tsr the minute you see this post then someone you know will get ill are you going to take me seriously? I mean it's nearly winter, people get ill in winter so the likelihood is that someone you know will get ill at some point but it's totally irrelevant to what I told you. I have zero power to make someone ill, it just happens. I'm not saying it's a coincidence I'm saying that bad things happen all the time totally out of anyone's control.

You say they're right "sometimes" but is sometimes really enough? I would be right sometimes just by making random claims about anything and everything. Surely they should be giving you dates and times to prove they're not just making **** up?

Don't think I'm not taking you seriously, I do understand how scary it can be to hear these voices but you need to think critically about the situation.

I see what you mean. :s-smilie: It just all seems like what they say is right when it's in my head.
I'm sorry for being so awkward, I just dont know how to deal with them shouting at me constantly. :cry2:
Thank you. :hugs:

Yeah I know what you mean, I sometimes get a bit carried away when they're telling me things too but you need to step back and look at things logically. I hope you feel less bad about eating now. :hugs:

And no problem, if you ever need a second opinion on what they're saying or just want to talk you can pm me.

Sorry I haven't been replying to or reading messages. Went to Oxford to celebrate my birthday. Which I did. Only I spent the whole time completely in a state of hyperalertness and panic and spent some of the time shaking and am now a complete wreck :bawling:

Your circumstances might be less than awesome, but you yourself are 100% awesome.
