Not exactly. I mean, I did take an AS in maths early, but that's not so unusual.
My other ASs were all taken in yr 12 or later. None of my qualifications are over 3 years...

I mean, surely you'd want to have an A* in Maths by the end of three years.

No...I'm done with maths. It'd never be part of my offer if over 3 years but at certain places, they'll accept it.
Think UCL's standard offer was AAAa but with my early maths, it'd be AAAB.

Oh couldn't see it properly, I know who it is now

I was just suprised that Music would be included in their offer.
Every place is different. Some would accept my FM A2 and my maths AS or vice versa, haha.

Ah fair enough, that means you need an A in it if you were to apply to Bristol.

Oh and is that Francis/Proudlock?

Haha don't worry  my brains a bit fried after all the coursework and essays I've done today
I'm definitely resitting M1 :colonhash: it's far too easy to leave at 85, and it's after all my other exams anyway.

Good luck. Have I answered ur Q?

Summary of my calls today (spoke to Camz previously)
Cambridge
Yes: Maths and FM UMS will be taken as one and as long as long as I get high UMS in Chem this year, there's no point resitting my poor module.
Bristol
Yes: My offer will my my A2s in Chem, Bio and Music as well as my AS in FM.
Sheffield
Yes: Further Maths, Chem and Bio will be my AAA offer.
Southampton
No: I don't meet the GCSE requirement
Newcastle
Yes: Academics only constituents 20% of the admissions criteria
Imperial
Maths and FM will be seen as separate so I'll receive their AAAC offer (As opposed to AAAb) and thus will only need AAC this year

Ah right - yeah, I did the same thing on one of my drafts. You should be able to make up the last 1000 easily enough. :yep:

I am, yeah, but I'm reluctant to actually finish my PS / make my choices because I don't quite feel ready. I want to be away from home but I find the prospect terrifying. I seem to be the only person like this on TSR though haha.

I think it is quite natural to feel like that to a degree! You still have a bit of time so there isn't a rush  Have you decided on a course?

Original post by keromedic
Hmm. Make a thread in PS help?

I plan on using it when I have a full complete draft, I plan on 2 major revisions really, what they suggest and what my personal tutor says.. I know some people say do 8 drafts but ain't nobody got time for that

I guess so! I'm terrified but at the same time know that if I didn't do it I'd regret it, so it'll work out. :yep: Yep, English Literature. :awesome:

BIB: This

Oooh English, you are brave :colone:

No, they don't specialise until they complete the foundation programme.

[h="1"]Training to become a doctor[/h][h="2"]Medical education comprises several related stages, which are:

Undergraduate medical education - a period of study at medical school (attached to a university) with clinical placements in hospital and community settings.

Foundation programme - a two-year period which all UK medical graduates must undertake before moving on to further training (although there are some options after foundation training to leave training and apply for a locally recruited post, such as a trust post). For further information on foundation training, please visit the Foundation Programme website.

Specialty,GP and run-through training - when doctors train to specialise in either general practice or a specialty. The length of and nature of the training will depend upon the career area/specialty in which the doctor wishes to work. Some specialties are "run-through" programmes, others begin with "core training". Further information on these models can be found on the Medical Specialty Training (England) website

An addition to these stages, doctors are expected to keep abreast of advances in their specialty through ongoing continuing professional development.

Depends on the specialty but roughly 12 years, I reckon.
