Truth comes out when the microphones are supposed to be off

I've summed up the following article and was wondering if anyone would share their thoughts. http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/un-anti-israel-votes-are-indeed-a-little-weird/

Today at the UN, an interpreter who believed her microphone was off commented that
“Isn’t it a little weird? There are nine or ten resolutions against Israel."

Laughter erupted among the delegates. “The interpreter apologizes,” said the unfortunate truth-teller, moments later. I sincerely hope she won’t get fired.

Because the one who should really apologize today is the UN. Founded on noble ideals, the world body is turning the dream of liberal internationalists into a nightmare.

For by the end of its annual session next month, the General Assembly will have adopted a total of 22 resolutions condemning Israel—and only four on the rest of the world combined. The hypocrisy, selectivity, and politicization are staggering.

Today’s nine resolutions, condemned Israel for violating the human rights of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, of Palestinian refugees, and even of Syrians in the Golan Heights.

That’s right: the UN adopted a resolution today that mentions the word “Syria” no less than 10 times—yet said nothing of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s massacre of over 100,000 his own people.

Yet none of today’s UN resolutions concerning the West Bank said a word on the outburst of Palestinian terrorist attacks over recent weeks, such as the brutal murder of Shraya Ofer outside his Jordan Valley home, as his wife managed to escape. The murder of Ofer by axes and iron bars was “a gift to the Palestinian people and Hamas prisoners, in honor of Eid al-Adha,” the two suspects said under questioning.

It is the UN who should apologize for using Israel as a scapegoat, for demonizing and delegitimizing the Jewish state as a meta-criminal to be blamed for all of the world’s ills.

Nor does the UN plan to say a word on religiously-motivated attacks on civilians in Iraq, Nigeria and Pakistan, or on the persecution of political dissidents in Uganda, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.

The UN is absolutely impotent. It's just a big charity for refugees and poor africans.

To be fair Israel sort of does treat the Palestinians pretty ****. Israel is the only country that can apparently ignore them without consequence sooo....it's a non-issue really.
Let's be clear here, Israel deserves more than a mere UN resolution 'condemning' its crimes.

So what does it deserve?

Don't believe everything that comes out of Pallywood! The vast majority of 'crimes' Israel is accused of turn out in the end to be faked by Hamas or misreported by the western media, who are always eager to demonize Israel.

When the truth finally dawns, it dawns in fire.

Hahahahaha, no.

Or, alternatively, yes.
There is a slight difference though. When a resolution mentions somewhere like Libya, then the western world gears up and launches a war with the objective of regime change. When, after much effort, a resolution condemns Israel, it has absolutely no effect.

Because people are already firing rockets into Israel anyway without a resolution :yy:

You mean crudely assembled missiles that resemble fireworks which cause comparatively few casualties nor damage compared with the million dollar ones fired into apartment blocks during large scale incursions into Gaza?

The Israeli casualty rate is really low thanks to safety implements such as every home by law must be built with a bomb shelter, and advanced (i.e. 15 seconds) warning sirens + sci-fi Iron Dome.

Conversely, Gazan terrorists use launch rockets from heavily populated areas, use human shields in violation of Human Rights

So a website thats title quote is "inside every liberal is a totalitarian waiting to get out" and proudly boasts as a sponsor/link David Horowitz's Freedom Centre is supposed to represent some sort of objective source of news?

Even more laughable is the video which comes from a channel called the "Jerusalem Gift Shop" and displays a clip of an angry Arab with what is no doubt a dubious translation is supposed to provide an even more reassuring look at the nature of the situation? Tell me, if Hamas really were using human shields as a tactic during war, what would be the sense in admitting so in such a speech. Im pretty sure that it wouldnt exactly do Hamas any favours.

We can talk about Human Rights if you really want considering that you seem to hold them to such a high value and consider the criticism leveled continuously at Israel for its neglect of the Human Rights of Palestinians and the numerous resolutions leveled at Israel that are just ignored. Or you can just settle in the opinion that you already obviously have of the Arabs as nasty barbaric creatures who always attack Israel and have the Israeli's cowering in fear 24/7 which obviously explains the disproportionate death rate between the two sides when ever they are engaged in conflict.

Both sides have committed atrocities and anyone who tries to defend or justify their actions are deluded and sick.

Such a shame that a beautiful area of the world is being ruined by Jews and Muslims, who would rather bleed each other dry than look for a real peace.
"No one says anything about the other stuff" LOL How is she that dense? Oh, the stupidity of "Israel ain't the worse, look at so and so"; I mean c'mon seriously, is that even an argument?

Yes, because the Muslims obviously have a choice, don't they?

Yes, that is a valid argument. Surprised?
