Medicine Degree Resources (used during the pre-clinical courses)

I am not a uni student (maybe I'm posting in the wrong place here) but I am interested in medicine generally, so I was wondering if anyone had stumbled upon (heard from friends etc.) a list of reading materials that medical universities like Cambridge were using for background material. I'm just looking for a list of book names so I can buy them myself, but they are pretty secretive about what resources they use.

Any help would be appreciated!

You sir are a hero, this was exactly the sort of thing I was looking for, where did you originally find this (ie what did you type in google etc, was it just text book recommendations)?

Thanks for your help!

I am genuinely impressed how it took 20 minutes to get an answer! haha, thanks again! I doubt I'll become a doctor, but I do like reading bizarre things apparently! :P
