they are bears, at the end of the day they could still kick the **** out of you, if you wernt armed. the point tho is, they don't have to use their bear fighting skills because they have no predators and they don't hunt. they could hunt wolves and buffalo, like their black and brown bear cousins, but choose not to

Pandas are idiots, they have the digestive system of a carnivore and so can't digest bamboo properly but that's all they want to eat, it get's so little energy from eating bamboo that it has to spend practically all it's time awake eating bamboo to survive, and because they can't get fat from bamboo they can't hibernate either. Obviously pandas aren't cut out for chasing prey around so in the wild I can understand why they'd have to resort to bamboo, but in captivity if given the choice between bamboo or meat they still pick the bamboo! If they started eating food that they could digest properly they might have time to do other things like reproduce.
