FP2: 83
S1: 90
S2: 100
S3: 83
M1: 93
M2: 87
D1: 45 (:colondollar:)

Slacked off during the last exam session tbh as I was safe and dry [had already got the A* and needed not that high marks for A* in FM].

Did all these 2-3 years ago, was a good memory test! Can't believe I still remember all my exact scores LOOOL.

The funny thing is that I got an A for GCSE maths and was barely allowed on to do FM at sixth form. That really motivated me to push on and succeed. Never though in a million years before I started my A-levels that I'd get anywhere near those grades.

C1 - 88
C2 - 67
S1 - 86

241/300

I didn't revise for any of them so I'm fairly happy with how they turned out. Gonna step up my game this year and hopefully get an A* overall.

Awesome scores. May I ask what you found hardest in each module, C1-4 and M1/M2 (the ones I'll be self-teaching!)?

Is this for Further Maths too?

C1 - 95
C2 - 100
S1 - 88
FP1 - 80
FP2 - 54
D1 - 86

Shame about FP2. Didn't realise I needed C3-C4 for it, so I forgot the chain rule in the exam :colondollar:

That was the same result I got, but I didn't know how to evaluate it at x=pi/2 or x=0, because tan(pi/2)->infinity, and the denominator of the fraction is 0 at x=0. Will take a look at it tomorrow, could maybe expand it as a taylor series or l'hopital's rule or something to get around that.

And thank you

Old thread but oh well!

I want to know because I'm thinking of doing a maths degree but I don't want to be horribly out of my depth. Please tell me what grade you got at A2 and overall UMS (if you can't remember, then just a rough number). Could you also put which university you go to

Could you also put what the degree name is. So if it's straight maths or maths and economics, or financial mathematics etc.

Posting would be a massive, massive help for me, so please do so

Thanks very much to anyone who can help!

A*s overall in both maths and further, I'm not sure exactly how it was split but out of my 12 best modules (for some reason our college made us do 13) I got 1140/1200

C1 - 100
C2 - 100
C3 - 98
C4 - 94

M1 - 89
D1 - 94
S1 - 93
M2 - 97
S2 - 93

FP1 - 89
FP2 - 93
FP3 - 100
FP4 - 80 (don't know what happened here)

STEP I - 2 (close to the boundary though)

I'm doing Maths and Physics at Warwick, but thinking of switching to straight maths at the end of first year (undecided, we'll see how it goes). The thing with maths is, for every module (including fp4) I did at least one past paper where I got 100%, it ended up just being a bit of luck on the day with whether I made mistakes or not...must have totally messed up something in fp4 though!

This was last year (and my AS year)

C1 89
C2 87
C3 100
C4 81

FP1 86
FP2 53

D1 82

M1 98
M2 69
M3 51

S1 97
S2 78

Could have done a lot better in FP2, M3.

Scraped the A* in maths, and I was around half way between the B and A in further.

Doesn't matter now - I've passed my first year of uni with a first
(I'm doing straight maths at Newcastle)
I got 528/600 overall in Maths

C1: 90
C2: 97
C3: 88
C4: 86
S1: 89
D1: 78

Sorry I working out the average per exam (including 90+ in C3 and C4) and that came to 85% of 600 not 90%. Don't fully quite understand what exactly I was trying to do...of course 90% is 540 :colondollar:

You can do it with 500ums:

4x80ums and 2x90ums (c3 and c4)
