Graduate Entry Medicine: How many times have you applied?

Hi Guys.

This is my first year applying. Only doing the BMAT this year. If I don't get in, I might have a go at the UKCAT next year.

How many times/cycles have you applied to GEM so far?

A friend of mine just told me he was successful only on his 3rd try. I just want to have a feel of how hard I should go at it.

Best of luck to all! Cheers!

You're only doing the BMAT? Which GEPs are you applying to?

Since you asked, I got in on the first go, however, I would say that most people in my cohort needed at least two attempts before they got in

Oh cool. Good on ya! I'm applying to UCL, Birmingham, BSMS and Bristol. Which school are you at?

Knowing what I know now, I will pick Cambridge if I have to try again.

I got in the second time. I only had the one interview - but one is all you need.

Great. I really hope we don't have to apply over and over and over again. But with so many applicants per place, the selection system must be pretty random.
This is my first time applying, fingers crossed I won't need a second punt!
