This is crazy. People already getting offers while some of us are being held back by our referees. UCAS needs to change the system. Should we join up and write a formal complaint?

I feel the same, utterly let down by the whole system. :-( I just hope our references come through soon.

Anyone else got an interview for Lower Primary at YSJ?

I got invited for interview so much quicker than I thought - just one day after submitting my application! I must admit it's thrown me rather for six...having used up all of my holiday doing work experience I didn't expect to have to try and fit in an interview this side of Christmas as well. Can't wait, doing lots of prep this weekend for it and super excited...and a little nervous too. :-)

Hello! On the 16th?

I had an interview at Leeds yesterday for 7-11. You just prepare a lesson and present it, you don't teach it.

Sounds good. How did it go? Lots of people there?

There were 6 of us in the morning having our individual interviews and then 4 for the afternoon. We all did our lit and num tests at the same time; they are definitely easier than the skills tests! Interviews are tough, be prepared for a grilling but the interviewers were nice.

Thanks for the advice!
Hi guys,
I just wanted to check something. I know that we can change one of our choices within a week of sending the application. Presumably we need to do this through track? Can someone just confirm this is right? Thanks
Congrats to anyone who has already got an offer, good luck to everyone who has an interview soon, and for anyone who has had a rejection, keep your head up!

I have a question for everyone who has had an interview or has been given a date for one - how quickly did they process your application? And how late is your interview? I'm asking because my second referee is going to the submit their reference in the next couple of days. I'm away in Canada and don't get back until the morning of the 11th, and don't suddenly want an interview on the 12th - but nor do I really want an interview until after Christmas, because I have enough on my plate as it is with the final year of my PhD!

I applied on the 26th and got an interview date the next morning. I had my interview on Wednesday but I haven't heard back from any of my other choices yet

Has anyone got a Primary interview for St Marys, Twickenham? I got offered one there and IOE but can only go to one as I will only be bk from Dubai for xmas and live in Ireland. So feel like I only have one shot at this interview. Any tips?

I personally would pick the University that you liked the most. I did not apply for IOE, as I have three that I really got a good feeling about on their open days, recommended by other PGCE students I know, and generally because they are my preference. St Marys is my first choice for the PGCE, but can you believe it all three of my choices came back with an original interview date of the 11th! St Marys got in first and originally offered that date, so they got it I'm afraid! I politely explained that I'd already accepted an interview to the other two and would they be willing to put me onto another date..... And they did :-) so try that, and see what they say. Try to make both if you can, by changing the date of one, is what I would recommend xx good luck

Thanks. Unfortunately I cant go to both because it would mean flying back to London twice and I'm not at home for that long but I've decided to go to the St. Mary's interview as it was my first choice as well. I've been reading about what to expect on the day so I hope I can be prepared.

Based on the info they have told us, we can only really brush up on maths and English for the tests they will give us. We don't know what 'on the day' tasks they might ask us, so I've prepared interview Q&As and going to read up on educational issues. What sort of issues are you covering?
