How long was it between MMU emailing you to say they are processing your application and hearing you have an interview? I'm thinking that we won't hear anything until Monday now...

I put my application in on Monday 25th Nov and got an email on Friday 29th Nov. my interview is on 11th Dec

Ha yeah I keep frantically checking my emails during work. I sent it off about a week ago. When did you send yours off? Are you from the area?

xx

I know me too I am logging in every hour! Nothing yet though :frown:
I live in Bournemouth but my boyfriend is from Bath so I know the area pretty well! How about you? I only sent mine off on Tuesday! xx
Has anyone heard from Middlesex or UEL so far?

Interview at Chichester for Secondary English! Have to book it online, and it hasn't refreshed to allow me to choose from dates yet though, so I don't know when it is! Getting nervous about my interview for the SCITT though, so many different aspects! Educational themes...I'm assuming this is just a talk on issues?

I had an interview invite there for primary (: The system takes a little while to update so I just wanted to say don't worry if it doesn't let you on right away - mine had by the next morning! (and well done!!)
Application paid and sent! Finally

Ahh good, didn't know if it was just me being blind as usual! I don't know how far you can discuss interviews, but what was the structure like? I know a couple of people who did their Primary PGCE at Chichester and it sounds like a nice place, so hope they accept you! I'll have a look tomorrow!

Edit: Just noticed you said invite, so may not have had the interview yet, sorry! :colondollar:

It sucks that you guys are still waiting :frown: I wouldn't have had mine if I hadn't pestered the hell of my referee, but thankfully he tolerated it and still wrote a good reference. I do know how you guys feel, I didn't sleep properly until last night because of the stress. I'm actually less worried about waiting for decisions than I was to submit my application! I guess that is because at least I am being assessed off my own merits, not someone else's time keeping!

Yes had my kings interview today for secondary english

Wow, well done! How did it go? And can I ask when you applied? Kings is my first choice but haven't heard anything at all since applying on the 28th.

My first choice were shortlisting yesterday but nothing has been updated on ucas. The interviews are to be the 12th and 16th december. A girl who went to the open day has announced that she has an interview. As the interview days are so close and I havent heard anything, would i be right to assume that I will not be offered one do you think? I thought that we would have been told by today to give us time to prepare...?

TIA

Congratulations on your offer! I just found out I have an interview for IoE for biology and I just wondered how the interview was? I'm so excited and nervous at the same time as it's my first choice!

It was really nice, actually. Everyone was very friendly, and it was as informal as it could be. I got the impression that the point was to see if you were good at presenting and explaining things, not really anything else. So don't worry too much about making the presentation pitched at the right level, focus more on making it interesting, engaging and - most importantly - well delivered. When I was presenting, an embedded video didn't work, which sort of ruined the most interesting part of my presentation. However, I was told I handled it really well (basically, didn't freeze) and got an offer in the end. Good luck.

Actually that is really helpful - I was (probably stupidly) worrying about revising A-level and degree stuff! Good luck on your interview on Wednesday - we are interview buddies!

A little bit of A-level may be a good thing, but in principle its the GCSE stuff they'll care about, especially for anything non-specialist. I imagine they will also ask you to explain things as if a child was asking them (I've had "where do the stars go in the day?" for instance). Good luck, I'm sure we'll both do fine.

Not at all - I know people who were only offered interviews with 36 hours notice. Also, with UCAS I wouldn't rely on them too much - I was offered an interview two days ago and it still hasn't popped up on track.
