Does anyone know the deadline dates for applying for a PGCE? I'm still in two minds about which postgrad course I want to take so I hope I haven't missed it...

Hi Irishwitgirl!

I have an interview at UEL tomorrow too.. primary with SEN inclusion! Irish too, flying out in the morning, are you in the morning group or afternoon? My interview process begins at 1.15. It's my third so final interview this year, and first choice so I am quite nervous!!

For those still waiting for replies, found out today that the unis also get paper copies of our applications send from UCAS. One of my choices said they dont even look at the application before they havent got the paper version :smile:

Hey, has anyone had interviews/offers from Cardiff Met, Swansea Met or UWE? I've had acknowledgments from Cardiff and UWE but that's it so far!

Reference done, application paid and sent! Yay! I managed to change the choice that is no longer available to a school direct place too so although it isn't my preferred option I haven't wasted it.

Technically, you can apply right up until September 2014, but universities can close any time they want from now so the sooner the better really.

This is probably the stupidest question ever but are you allowed to make notes on a scrap bit of paper during the mental maths part of the skills test?

They will give you a whiteboard and pen for you to take notes

Got an interview for next Manchester Uni Secondary English next Monday, and on the email it says there will be a teaching task where we will be asked to 'enable your fellow applicants to explore an educational issue'. Has anybody got any idea what this means??

Has anyone got an interview for Strathclyde and started on the presentation aspect of it? I feel really nervous about it because I really don't know what topic to pick.

Any tips are welcomed :smile:

Also are you doing it as a power point or just using handouts?

How long did it take for them to contact you? I have applied here for a primary place but so far haven't heard anything but my application was only sent Sunday night due to waiting on a reference!

Ahhh! Just got confirmation of an interview for a schools direct route in Secondary History with York Uni/Harrogate Grammar School!
Only 6 days to prepare... Didn't realise the interviews would be so soon! Stressful.

I have also applied for primary at Middlesex and haven't even had a letter or email acknowledging my application. I called them and after saying they didn't have it, I called UCAS then called Middx again and finally they said oh yes they do have it, but I still haven't had a letter or anything, so just waiting.

When did you submit your application? I submitted mine on the 3rd and I've heard from the school direct I've applied to, but nothing at all from both Middlesex and UEL. Not sure if I should be worried?

Just recieved another interview for next Wednesday at Lincoln BGU for primary with maths specialsm! Unless I can change the date of one of them I have no idea whether to attend my interview at Leicester or at Lincoln.

As I want to do primary with a maths specialism Lincoln would be the interview to attend however Leicester offers the option to apply for the specialism when you have started the course so I don't know!
