Edexcel Unit 4: Geographical Research

Well this unit is a bit odd in we have to find our own resources, so I thought maybe we could share good sources and case studies between us!
I'm doing tectonic environments only, what topics do other people have?

Great idea! Lots of people seem to be doing tectonics by the sound of it

We've been told 4 earthquakes, 4 volcanoes and 4 tsunamis with 2 LICs and 2 HICs for each

Could someone please tell me what the cost was for the Montserrat 1996-7 volcano?

I don't know if anybody else went to a Tectonic Hazards conference but I found it really interesting! There was this talk on how climate change is affecting tectonic hazards and I thought it was really good

Can someone tell me how to revise for this unit? I'm doing life on the margins and I have got several case studies but just don't know how to organise them and revise. Any help would be nice.

I'm doing tectonic hazards: I'm revising case studies by trying to condense the information to one A4 summary sheet!

I was told that it's relevant to their own specialisms. Our two teachers are at the extremes of physical and human geography, so we have the tectonics topic and the culture topic to choose between. I wanted to do the food security one but they won't let me self-teach it.
I've just started the A2, four months behind you lot so I have a lot of catching up to do. I don't have a teacher so do I choose which topics I will do for unit 4 myself? :frown:

Well I suppose so... I'd choose tectonic hazards if I were you!

Got an A* in my Unit 4 mock
I'm finding the conclusion quite difficult to add marks to... I think it's because I usually have to rush it because Analysis took up a lot of time!
