From what I've heard - As Latin is easy (I could do some passages at GCSE) but A2 is a lot harder

We're not sure yet. FP1 this year definitely, and I'd like to do FP3 at A2, but we might do FP2.

We're doing AS Core + S1M1D1 for the first part of Year 12, FP1 at the end. A2 Core next year, with Further details up for debate.

Yes the content is easy, but there is loads of it and the papers are marked harshly ( well atleast how my teachers mark them anyways )

Even at GCSE they said the same (hence my a* boundary being like 40/70) yet I got full ums and almost full raw marks in those.

With considerable difficulty.

I'm pretty good at Latin (A* at GCSE, projected 90+ UMS for AS) but I highly doubt I could've started AS from scratch.

Unless you happen to be very 'tabular minded' (as there are a LOT of verb and noun tables to learn) or just a general wizz at languages, I wouldn't recommend it.

they said in gcse geography it is all about reading maps and remembering capitals. no revising and you can get A !!

If you learn all the vocab, endings etc yes. But that's going to take a long time. Also you have set text which is like literature analysis stuff. I don't think you can tbh.
