I like electronic music, ask me anything

As the title says, I like electronic music and you guys can ask me anything (no guarantee I'll give the "correct" answer though ) Try and quote me though otherwise I probably won't respond

Why are you even reading this, hurry up and ask

Right now? It changes very frequently, but I would probably say "Control" by Matrix and Futurebound  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv8CLxCD5yg

My old favourite would probably be something by Burial, maybe Untrue, his stuff is just so relaxing and chilled

What about you?

I don't really listen to electronic music but I like most songs by disclosure (if that counts) and animals

Probably Drum and Bass, although I do listen to a lot of House and electronic Hip Hop/Trap (I also like Daft Punk as well, I'm listening to aroudn the world now so your profile pic is very appropriate:tongue:)

What about you?

House is my favourite, especially classic house from the late 80s - 90s
Yay! Have you listened to the other songs from homework? They're just as good as around the world
I'm ready to introduce some drum and bass to my iPod though , who do you recommend I listen to first?

Yeah, I like Disclosure as well (but they seem to be getting a bit worse now that they've gone mainstream) and Latch was great, Animals is pretty cool as well  I also like some ambient stuff because it's just so chilled out

What stuff do you listen to then?

I don't have a certain type of genre that I like, if I like how it sounds then I'll listen to it but recently I've noticed I like melodic and slow songs such as 'say something' or 'what now' but I like mash ups too!

What do you listen to whilst studying/revising?
Avicii is a good artist and Macklemores song 'white walls' is great especially the chorus

Normally some chilled out DNB stuff like this

But sometimes I also listen to minimal dubstep like Burial

What about you?

I tend to go towards Kap slap mixes

Very nice, a lot of familiar tracks on there from looking at the list

I prefer to choose my own music though but might sometimes put on a DJ set if it's by someone I like e.g. Zedd and Nicky Romero's sets are normally really good but I can't really concentrate if something is too fast paced so normally listen to chilled stuff while studying  Below are some of my favourite sets
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MaApitQgdY - Zedd
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkO4EH6BO1c - Nicky Romero

What would you say is your favourite sub genre?

I love Zedd and Nicky romero as well  Listen to krewella they're amazing

Subgenre erm... I'm into alot of rock music personally hardly listen to it now a days. Asking alexandria etc.. Sometimes I listen to dubstep and i'm quite open.

IMO Avicii's old stuff was pretty good but Wake Me Up and Hey Brother are average at best, mixing country and house is not a good thing for me

These are some of my best Avicii songs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbVxvITmwIc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VJBBUqr1wM

I think that his songs are still amazing and his past songs were way better but I like his recent releases. You know the guy that sang 'wake me up' was the same guy that sang 'I need a dollar'. I feel like such a bitch for saying this but what is wrong with the woman's voice in the first video, its like she's wailing or something...

Nice mention , love that tune.

You heard Turn Back Time by them ? The drop is pretty sick , EDM seems to have jumped on the drop wave with Animals , Tsunami , LRAD etc

Krewella are great, their collab with Nicky Romero is amazing and most of their songs are really good as well  I normally like vocal songs more so Krewella are perfect for me

Interesting, I'm not really into that much rock stuff but some of my friends listen of screamo stuff like Black Veil Brides so you might like that, I have a pretty wide taste as well ranging from electronic to hip hop and a bit of reggae and stuff as well. For rock, this is one of my faves
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blMKmKjTYsE - Twin Atlantic

Nah I aint into the screemo stuff xD I'm slowly moving away from all that stuff and I was just listening to legacy

Interesting choice for rock. Imagine dragons is good as well. This is a nice pirate themed song. xD

Nice, if you like french house try giving JUSTICE a go as they're pretty similar to Daft Punk  Here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy1dYFGkPUE
I don't really listen to Homework that much, but Discovery is great  (One More Time, Superheroes, and Harder,Better,Faster,Stronger )
Depends what kind of stuff you like, if you give me some links I could choose something suited to your taste but to start off check out these vids and tell me what you think
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEPB7uzKuh4 - Pendulum
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv8CLxCD5yg - Matrix and Futurebound
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8vlk1UR99k - Sub Focus

I love French House  yep, I've listened to Justice - though I've only listened to their Cross album, lots of good songs
Fair enough, Discovery is a great album anyway - some of the songs on the album are underrated though :frown:
Yeah French house is the sub-genre I listen to, here's a few: Cassius, Etienne De Crecy, The Phantom's Revenge...

Thanks for the recommendations  Pendulum sounds great! As do
