I'm not black (Asian)and from what I've seen white people have no culture

Looking at Latin culture it is apparent. Looking at Asian culture, it is apparent. Looking at African culture, it is apparent. Carribean, Indian, Middle Eastern cultures, it's apparent. When I think of White Culture, it's like, "Well there is this, but no that started elsewhere so it was borrowed. Then something else comes to mind and the same thing, no that started elsewhere so that was borrowed. In some cases, ideas come to mind and it is like that was stolen and passed off as something original. Plagiarism, if you will.
White culture=
Rape
Murder
Stealing land/ oil
Liars
Spreading diasease around the world
Materialism
Stealing from other people culture
Greedy
Getting Drunk
Taking Drugs
Having sex with xx number of people
Divorce

I like how Europeans took Chinese gunpowder (which was originally used for nonlethal purposes) and turned it into charges for guns to kill people.

I find that white people tend to be culturally "lost".
Because a lot of whites, especially younger ones, view blacks as hipper than whites. Also, black males are traditionally seen as strong, aggressive, and hypermasculine and a lot of insecure white kids like the idea of taking on a gangsta persona as a way to deal with the fact that they live in the suburbs. I went to a suburban high school and the biggest wannabe gangstas were all rich kids...the biggest wigger I knew had a dad who was a partner in a law firm and lived in a neighborhood surrounded by a golf course.

Ireland has no culture? Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Russia, etc have no culture?

You even know what culture means? Culture can be positive and negative.

Culture
1.the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively
2.the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society

There's no such thing. It's urban working class culture that just happens to be wrongly attributed to all black people. The practice of labelling things as 'black culture' has created a self-fulfilling prophecy by which working class black youth buy into it, and perpetuate these practices. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with poverty, social exclusion, and lack of educational opportunities.

And bad parenting and anti-intellectualism; they're a much more important factor than poverty in my opinion.

I agree with your points regarding race though.

You have just proved me right! Whites do have a culture! Said it yourself!

Anyway when a culture is taken and adapted by another group of people it is never the same. It becomes something else as the socioeconomic and environmental factors are different. Hip-hop for example. Created by poor blacks and Latinos in the Bronx

You guys want to be black :laught
Look at Hip Hop for example first whites demonised hip hop culture (N.W.A) Then as soon as they got a white rapper Eminem all of a sudden rap music was cool. Now all I see are white guys copying and stealing black peoples style Justin Timberlake John Cena, UB40 why do whites keep doing this?? Now I even see white guys wearing baggy jeans with their caps titled trying to copy black peoples swag/style.

It isn't just African American Hip Hop Culture either I've seen Whites now attempting to copy Jamaican culture. Wearing their hair in dreadlocks singing reggae music and speaking in Jamaican Patois. Why are white people so obsessed with stealing and copying Black culture?
White people have no culture just a history of crimes you guys are only good at stealing/lying .....

I am black lol

Eminem started to rap out of love for the hip-hop culture. He didn't steal ****. He was inspired by his idols Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Rakim, etc and built up his skills and got the respect of many audiences, black, white, etc, etc. Eminem is the Elvis of this generation.

You should listen to Lord Jamar's preaching BS on YouTube. You'd like him.

Anyway, read this by the hip-hop PIONEER Afrika Bambaataa:
http://www.globaldarkness.com/articles/true_meaning_of_hip_hop_bambaata.htm

'First of all, let me tell you that the music (beats) that makes up hip-hop, comes from different nationalities and races, especially from black people, and if you think I am a brother who don`t know what he is talking about, just check out many of the music, beats, grooves and sounds that many of your rappers use to make their records or rap over. Hip-hop music in general is COLORLESS AND NOT RACIST.

It comes from many categories in music, for example: Hip-hop music is made up from other forms of music like funk, soul, rhythm & blues, jazz, rock heavy metal, salsa, soca (calypso), TV shows, kiddie shows, horror movies, techno, pop, disco, african, arabic, reggae -etc. . . . and if you use any records from these categories, you will see that the music is made by people from different races or nationalities from all over the planet, but it`s roots start with black people.

I have read many interviews by different rap groups throughout the world, just to see where their heads are at, whether they are really knowledgeable about hip-hop music/culture or whether they are just plain *******s. Many of the rappers will down(dis) another rapper because he or she wanted to experiment with hip-hop by singing or adding a different sound in hip-hop to create something new.

When are all of you in the hip-hop world going to "wake up"? You love to keep dissing each other for nothing and if you were wise in your disrespect of each other, you would know how to make money with respecting your disrespect of each other, if you truly understand what I am saying. Many who are into hip-hop or part of hip-hop culture throughout the world need a check up from the neck up.

In fact, and in truth, the whole human family needs one. Everyone needs to check up on their own roots and culture and seek the real truths on life on this so-called planet Earth. Knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, facts and truths about black, brown, red, yellow and white people and not that brainwash white supremacy **** that white people in power have taught all over the world and to their own people of the so called planet Earth.

Yes there are many wrongs in the worldwide hip-hop community, but there are also many aspects of positivity within the hip-hop community that the media or trade magazines rarely focus upon. Many of you in hip-hop culture don`t even listen to the rappers who are trying hard to wake your asses up to what is going on in the bigger scale than of what you see in your neighborhoods, their message goes in one ear and out the other.

The media does play a big role in destroying the hip-hop culture movement, but many of you in the hip-hop community are the biggest enemies of hip-hop and you will be the ones who will help the enemies of hip-hop to destroy it, or to bring it back underground, because of your ignorance of knowledge of hip-hop. This has started the difference between "old school" and "new school".

To myself (Afrika Bambaataa) there is only one school and that`s the learning, evolving, going through the different phases or cycles school of hip-hop. That is the real hip-hop school. A lot of you in the world of hip-hop better start looking at the problems in your own backyard as well as the world, because while you are enjoying yourselves etc. there are many plots being sprung to destroy hip-hop in the world.

Because many people in government look at hip-hop music and its culture as a radical music that gets straight to the point and music that will wake up the youth and young adults throughout the world. They can also use hip-hop to backfire and destroy itself. You can believe what I`m saying. But time will tell and I see what you see not.

Peace be unto you,

Your brother In music and faith, Afrika Bambaataa.'

There is no black culture.

Depending on where you live, are the Black British people you know perfect examples of the stereotypes the media represent?

Yes, they even criticise me for 'acting white'... I think they have bought into the stereotype that we cannot be well spoken, quiet, talk quietly on our phones, dance normally at clubs instead of twerking, go to museums and lounges instead of...erm (I don't know what stereotypical black people do for fun), listen to music other than 90s RnB slow jams (which are AMAZING by the way, its just not my go to playlist).

The stereotypes are also reinforced for us by other races. For example, I recently got annoyed and irritable with a white guy at work and I was told that its alright I get a pass because "black girls have attitude." I don't think the colour of my skin was the reason for my irritation...the guy was just being an idiot.

I do draw my eyebrows on though. lol

I would love to see blacks react more, and stand up for themselves more, the way they do in
America. For example, Afro Caribbean Societies are so good at putting on 'urban' street dance events and Traffic light parties and other crapola that further reinforces the loud party funtime stereotype, but never have black empowerment film nights, never have any events educating people on black history etc etc. Just some examples, the list is not exhaustive.

Do you think your opinion is influenced by the media(e.g BBC News)

You're trolling but I remember Kamau Kambon's speech got posted on here. The one where he said white people need to be exterminated and wiped off the face of the planet. Who were the people defending it and saying it wasn't racist? The middle class white posters. It's funny that. They are always the most vocal anti racists on this website. All the black posters just said it was racist and left it at that lol.

They probably listen to Dead Prez and get some weird fetishist kick out of being racially abused too.

Isn't he the guy who said white people are guests in the house of Hip-Hop? I remember reading something about that and thinking what a massive prick he was.

These 'stereotypes' don't apply to all black people. I am a young middle class black male and I don't like hip hop,rap or grime, I don't like and I am not very good at sport.

The same could be said for black/asians stealing white culture. Why do black people play football, rugby... why do asians buy western goods, why do asians play cricket. Why is it that blacks and asians drink coke and eat at Mcdonalds and walk around wearing Nike, Addidas, wearing western style cuts of clothes... jeans for example are a European product and now other races have stole the culture of wearing jeans, driving European cars and stealing this white culture and blah blah blah. You start to realise that culture isn't about black or white or whatever skin colour you are. It's about the way you've been socialised and the geographic region you're from.

As in that guy who ages backwards? Nah not really, but there's one episode which starts out in a similar way.

So much passive rascism in this thread. Not just one or two comments, a lot of you. Whereas riko-loko you are an outright rascist and ignorant man.
I've never seen a black at the Royal Opera House.

I can see where the stereotypes come from. Btw im black too. The media plays a massive role in portraying black people like that. I know lots of black people who dont fit that stereotype. Basically, you can't say black culture as not all black people are brought the same way just like all white people aren't brought up the same way

Posted from TSR Mobile
I can think of Nigerian culture, Jamaican culture, etc. There really is no such thing as "black culture", and I'm not just saying that to be liberal and correct.

That's why the guy saying white people have no culture is so off the mark. There are so many different white countries each with their own culture that what you're saying makes no sense.
