Hi! I've also applied to this course!! I sent my portfolio off last monday and am ridiculously nervous!! I just want to know whether I've got an interview or not! I put in some drawings and tech. edited images, photography, some of my textiles pieces, and some photo shoots I did with my friends! and you?

Hi,

I've applied to I sent my flickr portfolio off yesterday and I'm so nervous too! I put in one drawing and the rest of the images were photo shoots that I've done with my friends like your's really. I also put in lots of examples of image manipulation a photo shoot of a dress I made in textiles and screen shots from my fashion blog. I thought 8-12 finished pieces was quite a big ask, considering I didn't do art for A-level and so far on my foundation we've only really been doing experimental stuff and not final outcome so I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I get invited for an interview or not. Fingers crossed!!!

Hi Natalie! I was thinking exactly the same thing! I do textiles, and have done mainly experimentation during my a level course! Just had to rely on things that i've done in my spare time - I sent a link to my blog as well!
Ahhh I really hope we find out soon!
Hi Rachel,

Hopefully they'll make a decision soon! Are you applying straight from A-level?

Hi Natalie,

yes I am applying straight from a-level! What foundation are you doing - an art one or one to do with fashion?

I'm doing an art one I started doing everything and now I'm specialising in photography and graphics. I had the opinion to pick fashion (mainly focusing on design) and didn't as I fancied trying out new subjects but I kind of miss it now. My friend applied straight from A-level last year but was told to go and do a foundation, have you applied for foundation too?

hey Natalie,

wow! that's so cool! - I wish I had a bit more experience with graphics! I was going to apply to foundations as a back up, but I didn't really fancy doing one as I want to get stuck into uni straight away! I got an offer from Nottingham Trent before the application time for foundations, and I'd be happy to go there if I didn't get in to LCF, so I decided not to apply to them. Is LCF the only one you are applying to?

Hi Rachel,

I loved Nottingham Trent too, so I don't blame you for wanting to just a place without doing a foundation. I applied there to do Fashion communication and promotion last year but didn't take the place, I applied for that course again this year but had a change of heart and decided to change it to graphics. So now I've applied for Creative Direction at LCF, Fashion at Liverpool John Moores, Fashion at Leeds college of art, Graphic communications at Chelsea College of art and Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent. Where else have you applied?

Hi Natalie!
I also applied to Manchester Met for International Fashion Promotion, but as its too business-y i've decided I wouldn't take it anyway! So its either Nottingham or LCF now!

Well good luck, both are great choices! I've just been asked to send an online portfolio off for Nottingham Trent, which is pretty exciting as I actually loved it so much. Let me know how you get on

Hi Suki and Rachel

Congratulations on your interviews. Do you mind me asking when you sent your application off, I still haven't heard back yet and I'm getting so anxious. I sent my online portfolio off on the 21st of Jan.

You'll probably hear back from them soon because I've already gotten my interview in the UCAS track system this morning...
maybe you should check your junk mail as well to make sure you didn't miss their email.

All the best to you!
