Hi folks. Sermon this morning was first of a series starting with Revelations 1 v 17:-
'When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "
Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last'.
Linking in with Isaiah 43 which says:-
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush[a] and Seba in your stead.
4 Since you are precious and honoured in my sight,
and
because I love you Looking forward to this series.
Going to church this morning reminded me how vital it is to go and hear God's word being preached, how it fills you up and fuels you for the coming week. Like a lump of coal in the fire, you have to stay in to keep red hot otherwise if you become a fading ember (well I do anyway hahahah).
