Same here! It does sound pretty cool!

My firm choice is part of the dilemma! I applied for Natural Sciences at Bath, and they also want A*AA, so if I were to pick Bath, it would have to be my firm.

If I want to put York as my firm, Warwick will be my insurance...I think!

How about your firm choice?

Ohh, I see. My firm will be Oxford

Oh, I completely forgot about Oxford! Even more congratulations!!
I guess you have no problems deciding which uni to firm! Where else did you apply barring Oxford and Warwick?

Thank you
Nottingham, Sheffield and Imperial, though I withdrew from Imperial once I got an offer from Oxford
How about you? Bath, York, Warwick, anywhere else?

Ah, which college did you apply to? Did you have an interview?

Worcester College. And nope, sadly no interview :frown:
Whats everyone actually thinking to do as a career after chemistry

Really not sure what kind of field I'd like to go into. Something research oriented would be awesome, and becoming a teacher has always been an idea.

Ah, I'm sorry. But you've got some other awesome offers

Aw, it's hardly your fault! I honestly don't think I could dream of managing to study at Oxford (if I somehow managed to get an offer!).

Thanks though

Good luck for Oxford though

got an email from them last week apologizing :colone:

I plan on going back in time 500 years and becoming an evil alchemist.

Or maybe finance. I haven't decided yet.

Hopefully a career in research/industry. Considered going into the pharmaceutical industry too. Although I'd love to be well-learned enough to become a lecturer!

These are all ideal scenarios though, first I need to focus on actually getting into uni

Ah well done man! Glad it went well! You were in a grey suit right?

I thought mine went really well too  So much better than I expected. The other guy at our UCL interview who was there today (if you remember him) had a pretty tough interviewer who didn't ask him a single question from his personal statement.

I wasn't asked jack on my PS either l0l!

so tensed right now man u wudnt believe

I know, I find it a little scary too. But hopefully with the help of tutorials, I'll manage to scrape through :colondollar:
Thank you, good luck to you too  Let me know what you decide!

In an ideal world I'd go into medical research

Aw, I'm sure you'll manage!
Thanks, I will do! I'm leaning towards York for my firm I think!

:five: I did work experience at GSK, and I quite enjoyed my time there; would love to see myself there in the future

Wow, that's a great opportunity. What kind of stuff did you get to do?

I worked in the analytical chemistry department, I worked with GC-MS and HPLC machines (which was really cool because I hadn't actually studied them yet in Chemistry). Got to learn quite a bit about how gas chromatography works!

Also just being in the labs was cool enough!
