No but I only firmed on Saturday  I'm so excited. So glad it's all sorted and all I need to do is the skills test  so excited. When was your interview x

I firmed a good few weeks ago! My interview was on the 14th January, when was yours? I have done my skills test but haven't graduated yet so have a condition of obtaining at least a 2:1.

Hey guys...im currently waiting for a response from a university in apply 2...does anybody know thag...if you get an interview...how soon it could be from finding out? Cos i assume cos its apply 2..you may not have as much time from receiving a letter to your interview...

I am in apply 2 and had over 2 weeks before my interview, but it depends on the university and how many people they like to interview as well.

Worcester interview didn't go fantastically. I fought my corner, but the head interviewer didn't like that I had little formal experience. Which begs the question, why interview me? But ah well. I'd rather get it over and done with and be rejected by all three now to be honest.

Can anyone give me their impression on the audit that this school has sent me? You have to grade the first column from 1-5 based on competency, I understand that. But the remaining columns say both 'grade' and 'discuss' - am I supposed to be giving full answers here? Just the number score? Bullet point responses? Some of the answers will surely be incredibly short, with not that much to say considering there are about 8 of these pages (!!! they only sent this to me on Sunday... interview is on Thursday. -_-) whilst others could be really long. Anyone have their interpretation of what exactly is expected? I'm sure I'll just end up grading each one and adding a sentence or two where I can... hmm. =/

Well you got an interview in the first place so they can't have been that upset with your lack of experience or you would have got a straight rejection. Do you have the minimum of two weeks? If you did well on the rest of the interview day then you've got every chance of getting a place...it just might be conditional on you getting more experience before the start of the PGCE.

Hi, I'm still waiting in apply 1 for Derby! I did send my application lateish though (3rd January).

What!!!! i thought once you had an offer you were guaranteed an offer until 10 days after your final decision - I don't think they can take them away...??
On my offer letter it says they would like you to accept it as soon as possible but you are under no obligation to do so until the UCAS deadline...?

Once the offer is on track, it can't be taken away! You have until all your 3 unis reply, then 10 days from them x

Had an interview last Wednesday, told me I would find out late that week or early this week. Still nothing. Lame.

Oh I haven't had mine yet but have one on the 21st. What was it like? How did you think it went? How many people were there? I still need to choose a book for the presentation :s-smilie: I hope you receive an offer from them  Is Reading your first choice?

Hi there,

I'm lucky enough to have been offered places at both Worcester and BCU for the primary PGCE and I really don't know who to choose.. Just wondered if there was anybody who could offer some advice.
My heart was set on Worcester at first but since my interview at BCU I have been really torn between them!

I've firmed my offer from BCU primary, the teaching staff seemed really friendly and my friend is on the course now there and she loves it

You've got to take in consideration what is best for you, next year is going to be so much work and full of stress, take in consideration travel to and from uni, travel from placement and things like that

Ah brilliant! I know somebody on the course now too and they love it. I've also got a friend at worcs who recommends their course!
I know, I'm trying to think of everything. The journey to BCU is just worse due to traffic in the mornings compared with Worcester but I feel I want to be based in Birmingham when I qualify.
Do you know whether the course looks into SEN much at BCU? As I'm really interested in that

SEN is what i'm interested too! From what the interviewer told me, we choose a specialism, and I asked could it be in SEN, and she said that I could  I'm so excited!

Really!! I just found on the website that one module is Primary Focus so I assume that's where we choose a specialism  that was the only thing that was really swaying it for me because Worcester have a strong focus on SEN. I think BCU is my choice then.. Eeeek! I'm excited too, when was your interview? Mine was last Wednesday

Yup, Primary Focus is what its called! Maybe give BCU a ring just to make sure they do offer it, but thats what my interviewer told me. I'd hate for you to accept the offer, then come september find out you can't do the focus in SEN!

Mine was the 8th of Jan, so I think it was one of the first round! How many people got sent home after the lunch break?
