Nottingham has the Harry Potter / Quidditch Society, although I think there are a few more now: https://www.su.nottingham.ac.uk/societies/society/Quidditchandharrypot/

We also have a Cake Soc, a Lego Soc, Hide and Soc, HackSoc, Nerf Soc, etc: https://www.su.nottingham.ac.uk/societies/find-a-society/

Eat caramel wafers I'm guessing lol - or suggest recipes with the wafers, haha

I would love to join a Quidditch society - plus I have a gold jumper which should help me play the role of the snitch :colone:
I'm going to start an 'Exclusive Hedging Society' at Cass this upcoming year, unless they already have one.

I think a "LAD" society is in order, a place where all male's socialise by exchanging uncontrollable banter and taunting one anothers interests. Degrading women especially feminists, and general sport (Football, Boxing, Rugby etc) chat commences under the influence of copius alchohol consumption...

Thinking about it, the Pub will suffice...
Cambridge has a "Safer Space Waterfighting and Sheila & Her Dog" society as well as a prestigious "Winnie-The-Pooh" society - shortened to Poohsoc.
I wonder if in any uni ever there has ever been a nudism society (just wondering )
I saw a beer appreciation soc once I think the socials may have got quite messy.
We have a Harry Potter soc here at Sheffield. They had a winter ball last year.

They have that already; it's called the rugby club. Or the football club. Or 'university'.
The 20 Minute Club is pretty weird and amazing at Newcastle.

I can only imagine the wrath that you would incur from the women's officer for that one (or at least you would if yours was as militant as my uni's one)....

I've heard of that one

York has a quidditch society as well, and QI appreciation. Are pantomime (pantsoc) societies fairly common?

Leeds has a society called ''stitch and bitch'' not weird but it made me laugh. Sheffield Hallam has a circus society!

Mine has that too, a girl who I lived with in halls set it up and it's gone down very well. People get sorted into houses and everything. She's a seeker for the Quidditch team as well, basically she dresses up like a canary and has to run around and not get caught.
