Cuando era más joven, solía vivir en *place* en *place* y mi colegio estaba a cincos minutos de distancia cuando andando. Ahora, mi colegio es sobre a veinte minutos de distancia. La gente estaba más acogedor y siempre decían hola a mí pero la gente aquí a veces son agresivo. Lo mejor cosa sobre *place* de *place* es hay más para niños hacer por ejemplo, no había un centro comercial allí, diferente aquí. Desde entonces he vuelto a *place* y la gente es menos acogedor, la economía les ha hecho triste y no son preocupado sobre otras personas. Me hace deprimido que mi hogar de mi infancia ha cambiado para la peor.
When I was younger, I used to live in *place* in *place* and my school was five minutes away when walking. Now, my school is about twenty minutes away. People were friendlier and always said hello to me but the people here are sometimes aggressive. The better thing about *place* than *place* is that there is more for kids to do for example, there wasn't a mall there, unlike here. I have since returned to *place* and the people are less welcoming, the economy has made them sad and they are not worried about other people. It makes me depressed that my home of my childhood has changed for the worse.
Mi casa ideal estaría en un país más calor de Inglaterra ya que no debería pagar mucho para calefacción. Tendría un delante jardín muy grande con un conservatorio así si haya lluvia cuando me había olvidado mis claves, no llegaría mojado. Mi dormitorio estaría suficiente grande para una mesa de biliar porque me lo gusto. En mi cocina, habría una cinta de transportadora desde el mostrador a la mesa. Lo mejor de mi casa ideal sería que habría un ascensor en mi habitación a la cocina ya que puedo tener desayuno instantáneamente.
My ideal house would be in a warmer country than England as would not have to pay as much for heating. It would have a very large front garden with a conservatory so if it rains when I had forgotten my keys i would not get wet. My bedroom would be large enough for a pool table because I like it. In my kitchen, there would be a conveyor belt from the counter to the table. The Best thing of my dream house would be that there would be a lift in my room to the kitchen so i can have breakfast instantly.
En mi zona local, no hay mucho hacer para los niños, es bastante aburrido. Hay un centro comercial pero la mayor de las buenas tiendas ha cerrado. El parque no tiene mucho terreno llano para jugar futbol y en mi opinión, es muy sucio. La gente aquí es muy antisocial y pueden estar muy ruidoso cuando están borracho a la noche o incluso durante el día. El año próximo, el consejo van a limpiar el estanque en el centro del pueblo porque ahora tiene mucha suciedad y se ve muy feo.
In my local area, there is not much for kids to do, it's pretty boring. There is a mall but most of the good shops have closed. The park does not have much flat land to play football and in my opinion, it’s very dirty. The people here are very antisocial and can be very noisy when they are drunk at night or even during the day. Next year, the council will clean the pond in the centre of town because now it has a lot of dirt and looks very ugly.
El año pasado, mi familia y yo celebramos navidad con nos familia de *place*. Mis abuelos quedaron en mi casa para la semana de navidad y mis primos vinieron también para cena de navidad. En la casa, usualmente hago nada para ayudar mis padres. Pero a veces, sacaría la basura o mi perro. La semana pasado, tenía que ayudar con sacar la basura del vertedero y la semana próximo voy a deber limpiar mi dormitorio para mi tío quien están viniendo para quedar y mi madre quieres la casa estar complemente limpio. Si yo fuera ganar la lotería, quería una mansión grande en Barcelona ya que hay mucho calor y la ciudad es bonito. Habría un lavabo en cada dormitorio así que cuando necesito ir no estaría en una prisa ir. El jardín tendría una piscina con un tobogán porque son divertido. Dentro la casa, me gustaría tener un cine pequeño para yo y mis amigos.
I wished that my house was smaller now that my sisters have left the house, it can get very cold and makes it uncomfortable for revision. If I were to win the lottery, I would like a large mansion in Barcelona as it is very hot and the city is pretty. I would have a toilet in each bedroom so when I need to go I would not be in a hurry to go. The garden would have a pool with a slide because they are fun. Lo bueno de mi casa es que hay cuatro lavabos. Sin embargo lo malo es que es demasiado grande y durante el invierno, hace demasiado frio.
Me habría gustado que mi casa fuera más pequeña ahora que mis hermanas se han ido de casa, puede hacer mucho frio, lo que hace casi imposible poder repasar comodamente. Si yo ganara la lotería, quisiera una mansión grande en Barcelona ya que allí hace mucho calor y la ciudad es bonita. Habría un servicio en cada dormitorio así que las prisas nunca supondrían un problema. El jardín tendría una piscina con un tobogán porque sería divertido. En el interior de la casa, me gustaría tener un cine pequeño para que mis amigos y yo pudiéramos disfrutarlo.

Oh yes, you're right about the 'vivía'. However, 'sobre' can be used for approximately and the 'haya emporeado' is the correct form, the verb 'empeorar' is not reflexive.
Oh yh, the conservatory thing is not european spanish either, I'll correct that.

Sobre can be used to refer to approximate time, eg sobre las 12. I would have to ask for some proof from you for me to believe it can be used in this case.
empeorar is transitive. haya empeorado takes an object. empeorarse is to improve (ie itself). Again if you want to show me the usage you're suggesting in the form of some authentic Spanish, do so. I have never seen it.

Hmm, fair enough, it has been four years since I last read/spoke/listened to any Spanish! Some of the instinct has worn off.
Edit: Though I don't agree on the idea that 'se' implies what you're saying. If you google se ha empeorado you'll find examples where it means exactly what you're saying ha empeorado means. If I wanted to say my Spanish has improved, I would never say mi español ha ameliorado. Absolutely not.
