You guys just scare me! That could be a positive though???

I wouldn't dare go near Millwall never mind in a Blues shirt

Haha I'm going to Milwall next Tuesday, clad in blues shirt etc.. Looking forward to it, should be a good game - an important one!

And other fans have chanted about Galatasary to us. Fans chant about the Munich air disaster. It's sick, but a lot of clubs have fans like this.

There seems to be a lot of prejudice flying about this thread. I often get a lot of comments about my Leeds shirt when I stray out of Leeds. I was actually refused service at a chippy in Hull once. But to be honest, with the bad reputation Leeds fans have, I don't think it's wise to wear a rival shirt in the city centre, I know you want to show pride for your club. I wouldn't dare wear any Leeds gear anywhere near Millwall, or even London at all. It's the same way that all away fans are escorted directly from the coach to their seats at Elland Road & back again after the match, and how Leeds aren't allowed a lot of away tickets. We are Dirty Leeds.

I suppose so, but still I was under the assumption that you (Leeds) dont consider us to be a big rival team, so I didnt think it would esclate the way it did.

We don't really. It's more of a one-way rivalry. This might sound really condescending, buy you're too small for us to care. I've been to games & been sat near some horrible, vulgar & racist Leeds fans. I've also been to a game when we actually applauded a very spectacular goal from the away team. Most Leeds fans are just normal football fans, not looking for any trouble. We have a bad reputation from the 70's & 80's, and unfortunately that still carries some weight today.

Bottom line is you'll get fans like this at all clubs, but they are usually in the minority (except for Millwall ) Leeds are too tight to ban them from games though, as long as they're paying for a ticket, they'll let them in.

I think it is more one way, as leeds have Man u and chelsea as rivals. But some Bradford fans would argue that there is rivalry due to the fact there was a lot of violence which occured between the ointment and the leeds service crew during the 80s. But league status wise I dont think there is any rivalry unless we come up and play then maybe. But I think we have more rivalry with hudders.

They chanted to billy sharp 'where's your son' that was unforgivable

To be fair, even minnows Barnsley did that. They changed it to 'Where's your baby gone?' though.

I'm more than happy to have banter and chants, after a team, I can't remember which, sung to us 'you're all on benefits' after benefits street was aired we sang back after we scored 'we're still on benefits' for example, but there's a line and I think the billy Sharp one goes over it.

I agree. I think it crosses the line when something isn't funny anymore. I remember a chant that the Rangers supporters used to use on their own goalkeeper that happened to have schizophrenia. They used to chant, 'There's only two..." That was pretty funny.

Probably the biggest three examples of chants that regularly go over the line are Hillsborough, Munich, and those two Leeds fans that were stabbed in Istanbul. I remember when Man United were last at Leeds and both sets of supporters were using those chants on each other.

Yeah tbf we're vile to the Vile, but there's even things we wouldn't mention. Mind you Leeds again, apologies to the Leeds fan who seems alright on this page, are just not a particularly nice set of supporters. Like Milwall

Wearing a football shirt casually is a weird thing to do once you are older than 7 or 8.

Completely agree.

We do this as well. Fans often chant 'You're not famous anymore' to which we respond much louder 'WE'RE NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE!'

Leeds fans are...a unique bunch. I've been sat with some horrible vile excuses for people who I'm disgusted to support the same team as they, but I sit in the Family (East) stand, where the fans are much friendlier & respectful. It isn't really reported about, but when we go to away games we usually trash the local pubs & bars.
I wore my Manchester United training shirt to the gym once and the registration guy ended up pulling me to the side and having a convo with me cuz he also is a fan of united so it's not always aggression. Had some people around us at the gym talking about the team's recently performance but never to our face, then again I live in the south 🤷*♂️
